Thanks Dogman for a very useful suggestion. I had not thought of NiCad. The cost has now increased to £249 so LiPo is totally out of the picture. It would appear I bought a lemon. It is a pity that batteries do not show usage. Thanks again.

I have an Ebike that needs replacement batteries but the current Lithium Polymer types are just too expensive @ £209. In addition I have found no real benefit in using them, quite the reverse. Has anyone any advice on using other battery types (eg lead acid, lithium ion) or a source in the UK...
