Well summers over and finally had time to give it a crack again As its been so long i had to re read all this stuff again. So i have reprogammed with the low volt cut out at 35v (18S PACK) Hooked it all up. Optical in the same spot as last time (dialed in as before) Only getting short blips...

Great video Arlo. i agree these things will go gang busters once the word gets out. Im pretty sure once you change the back wheels it will steer heaps better. ie stop the front spinning. Also lengthen the frame will help it handle better

whoo hoo i can sense the fun just in your script. Its getting me pretty keen to put this one at the top of the wish list. So do you think you will keep it at 50km but more pick up? I though you would need around 40 to 60kmhr to get a good slide What do you recon its cost minus the frame.

still the only word that comes t mind is awesome. I did jus a quick scaleup from the map and im guessing that the first straight looks like 100m before you hit the anchors. It took you 5 seconds to get there from standstill. Any idea what yourspeed is at that point. Power t weight is 0.08

My inlaws retired to a small seaside counrty town and each year they have a goffer race in the main street. We were going to rock up with a goffer equiped with a huge stereo blasting out a V8 hemi drag car reving it up. Never did it but would have been worth a giggle or two

thanks dogman thats the sort of stuff im after. So power to weight is 0.0219:1 what sort of top speed are you getting? I wonder what Paul D is using and weighs? Bike racing also has a lot to do with how far you want to push the limits too.

Thanks Frafle Its sort of between car and go kart for size. I think i said its around 300odd kg with me in it. This will depend on the size of motor and battery pack. By the way you race bike sounds awsome. I would love to know how it performs. Please post some info in my other post...

I built a little kart for the kids. it had 900w 24v. With me in it top speed was around 24kmh (with kids 28kmh) It would take a while to get up to speed but would hold most of it around sharp corners and slight rises. I think if you gear it so 15kmh is top speed it should do it.

Just had a look at Golden Motor and they have a 10kw motor and controller to suit. Has anyone every used one of these? I have a GM battery pack that died pretty quickly so not sure of thier quality??
