jonescg's NEW electric racebike BUILD thread!

I'm posting here to put out the feelers for people who are interested to go to see Chris's bike race at QLD Raceway 27-29 June 2014. I plan to be there and have some friends coming along. Anyone is welcome to send a PM if they want my contact details to meet up at the event. Cheers Daryl

jonescg's NEW electric racebike BUILD thread!

Hi jonescg I sent you a PM regarding accommodation or any other assistance. Let me know if there is anything I can to do assist with your trip to QLD raceway. Same goes for anyone else making the trip here.

    Domino Throttle

Hi Willow Thanks for the reply. The 5302 is probably not what I would be looking for but I would really appreciate if you had any links to its specs in a 10" wheel.

    Domino Throttle

Hi Willow Love your trike. Can you tell me a bit about the motors you used for your 10" wheels. I would like to convert a scooter and I am looking for information. Hope you are doing well down in Tasmania and with the vehicle. Regards Daryl

    Cromotor Mammoth coming 2014

It is February 2014 now. Any news? I have some questions regarding the Cro Motor and if anyone could answer I would appreciate it. Is the rotor including spoke flange made from steel or part aluminium? What is the inside diameter of the rotor? How many magnets in the rotor?

German Built, Italian design, American engine, Goveck

I have been watching Govecs scooters since they were released. There has been next to no reviews of them on the internet and it's a real shame to hear problems with it. Thanks for the info.

    Fisher and Paykel motors

That sounds reasonable. Less magnetic influence on the windings from the spinning rotor giving less back emf. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counter-electromotive_force

    Fisher and Paykel motors

If anyone is interested. With the particular Baldor drive and a FP 42 pole stator with 14 segment 56 pole rotor, I hit a limit of 430 RPM. Rewired the stator from star to delta and now I have much more rpm available. Still running an acceptable 1A per phase @ 600rpm with the small load of the...

    Fisher and Paykel motors

Hi whatever It has standard windings and 240V controller. 240V and 0.7A per phase on the motor right now. There is a massive difference in current depending on the direction of rotation which I assume is due to the positioning of the hall sensor. I've been using FP motor in a centrifuge for the...

    Fisher and Paykel motors

Just reversed the motor direction and it dropped the current right back :D

    Fisher and Paykel motors

I'm sure the picture in the post on the previous page was wrong regarding the FP Hall Board wiring. I have the motor running now. But too much current for some reason and it's heating the windings too much so I'm off to investigate. The picture attached is the correct wiring.

    Fisher and Paykel motors

Hello everyone I stumbled across this forum and it is a very interesting source of information. Right now I am trying to run a Fisher Paykel motor from a brushless DC industrial drive. It supplies 5V for the halls and has 3 connections for the outputs. I am using the standard hall board for the...
