Over speed Pmac motor (also a.c. induction)

From electricgod post: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=99008&p=1457214&hilit=pmac+3031#p1457214 And then BIG...a Motenergy 3031-001 axial flux 80kw motor next to the AP 12090. It has two 180mm wide and 76mm tall stators. It makes a motor 2X more powerful than the C80100...

Over speed Pmac motor (also a.c. induction)

Motor will run 7000rpm. Runs hot at any speed. It runs extremely hot over 4000. Have had 3 companies, 4 actually counting motenergy, try to get this motor running properly. We have it 80% there except for overheating. I would give a motor to someone who can help. It is a dana/spicer type...

Over speed Pmac motor (also a.c. induction)

Let's try it this way. Will raising the voltage of an a.c. induction traction motor raise the speed of best efficiency. I need to get a me3031 running cool at over 5000rpm or change gear ratio

Over speed Pmac motor (also a.c. induction)

Also testing induction motors. 5kw running oem 48v and 7000rpm max. I would like to squeeze another 20% rpm out of it. Do I have a better shot pushing the a.c. motor to 8000rpm, than the Pmac running cool at 7000? (and not grenading)

Over speed Pmac motor (also a.c. induction)

I have a motenergy 3031 Pmac. Rated at 5,000 rpm max. Is one of the limiting factors heat? Or can it be programmed to run cooler, at reduced power. Motor is over double hp needed. A buddy has run it 7000rpm and it survived. The only issue is 100C after a few fast miles. I've been told that the...

    Active energy transfer balancing

Yes, they work 24-7. Anytime there is over 30mv difference. Unless you turn it off.

    bluetooth BMS?

Let me try again. That screen shot is from my 12s testing. This is 40s before I leaned to set voltage limits. Red is over volts, green is under volts. Notice by putting 5s on each board, each 10s module is displayed on 2 even lines. Boards don't care, any number of cells on each 7s max xh...

    bluetooth BMS?

I have this system connected to 4 x 10s lto 60ah modules. 40s total. 5 cells on each of 8 boards. [Keeps each module on its own section in app] A second LCD displays over run from first LCD. New boards have 10ohm shunts. Balance current settings have no effect on duty cycle of shunt current. 30%...

    Active energy transfer balancing

Yes, as they are energy transfer only, they are not chemistry dependant. Works with lto up to 4.2v cells or supercaps. Many versions available, such as 8s and 12s. All work with fewer cells and can be overlapped for more. I'm building a harness for 36s. 3 volt modules in series connected 4p...

    Active energy transfer balancing

There are many new active balance boards showing up from China. I have tested most of them, if anyone needs an opinion before ordering. It was requested that I do a more thorough test of the potted 4s board by a boat owner using 4s 60ah LiFePo4 for starting battery. Getting to the end of test...

    Led tester/ 27v continuity/ 30ma source

I built similar with a switch to change profiles in DeltaQ chargers. It has become so useful that I made one without the switch. Testing leds was a two person job. One to push the switch. A kid is stopping in today or tomorrow to learn how to fix led tvs. Made it for him, but it’s to nice. Let...

    bluetooth BMS?

Lost track of what all has been posted about the 15s bt bms. Today I finally had time to connect an lcd display. Mostly Chinese so it sucks, but if you want a simple cell monitor on a switch and no bt. it does work. Shown on 12s Volt. Arrows indicate H and L cells. Better than a poke in the...

Salvaged EV cells index: Leaf, Volt, Tesla, Zero, etc

Newer may be better. I could just squeeze a little over 60ah out of the ones I tested. Which is fine, however the seller sold them as 75ah. Oh, and they were new. Maybe needed cycling to come up. :?

    bluetooth BMS?

Pretty unlikely the first and last cells are bad or charging faster. Look for common impedance in the power wiring and balance leads. R1 and R2 will make first and last read high.

    bluetooth BMS?

Got a new rca tablet. Still can't connect bms or vbms. I did get HYD to connect. I like that better in any case. The Chinese version always connects, but has other issues.

    bluetooth BMS?

In my case there was no attempt to connect, and no connect button. Unlike previous version that I use. Can you get a screen shot?

What does vbms do? I tried it, but don't see a way to connect.

    Chargery C4012B 12S balance charger review...UGG!

Jason explains the wire size issue: "The two AWG14 wire is output wire when DC input, the charge current is only 20A, so need not use AWG10, but charge current is 40A when ac input, so the total output wire connect to battery is AWG10" I had not research it, myself. Seems to make sense. If he...

    Chargery C4012B 12S balance charger review...UGG!

The C10325 is one of my main tools. I have two of them that I use every day. There is nothing not to like about it. Auto mode makes it a dumb charger when using for a single application charger. Just plug it in and it begins a charge cycle. Restart mode maintain battery charge. Power supply mode...

    Unknown (long gone) LiFePo4 cells 4lb 14oz

This set is working great so far. All came up nicely balanced from bottom 2.7v. These were only matched by capacity. Hope to get them installed for real world testing. No bms to start, as is recommended by ev builders using life. Top balancing is futile, but still may need cell monitor and hv...

    Unknown (long gone) LiFePo4 cells 4lb 14oz

First full battery built for Don’s BadBoy 48v. 4pcs 2p4s. Test charging from bottom balanced 2.7v with no bms/balancer. Random connected cells tested from 71 to 74ah. 10a to start, then switch to 20a. Notice the banding! Don came over with an $850 tool and 3/8 galv steel. One on left is first...

    Unknown (long gone) LiFePo4 cells 4lb 14oz

2/3s came back over 70ah. This next batch of 60 I'm charging with a 500v 60ma cc 1/2 wave supply. 500v so I can use it up to 160s full pack. Hoping to get all over 2v before charging.

I may be in luck. This is the exact dimensions of mine. 60ah Most exceed that at 10a rate.
