    VFR400 20kw Build

I was also thinking like JRP3, but the chain usually run OVER the swing arm, not to the inside of it. Would you really be able to get the chain to line up to a sprocket on the inside of the swing arm? One option might be to put the motor in the pivot like zero does (or did?), but that also...

    PWD's Yamaha XV250 Virago build

Is the rubber you plan to use between the cells the foam in the picture? I am not sure that is a good idea in that case, I think you should have something stiffer. In the cell modules with prismatics I have taken apart it has been ither a thin plastic sheet or grey paper (not sure what it is...

Phase Amps VS battery Amps, mosfet controller

Thanks for that explanation, I have never really understood why there should be a limit for battery amps in the controller. Sure, for the batteries sake etc. but not why it would be a problem for the controller except for heat, as it could mean high pA for longer time.

    Yamaha YZ450F

Designing some peaces here and there: Bracket for radiator wings and battery cover. Should slide in here. I had this skid plate I planned to use with some small modifications. Well, not much left of it. This is how the right side will look. And the left side will look something...

    Yamaha YZ250F

I connected reverse again before riding again today, but suddenly I got the problem with the bike running rough and more or less not moving forward. It didn't help to stop a few seconds this time. I did notice that I could reverse just fine, but not go forward.. After disconnecting the reverse...

    Yamaha YZ250F

A bit of an update on this issue, I also posted it on 3shuls facebook page, and Hackey asked me for the log. I hoped he would be able to see something, but he only replied that there was no fault code (I knew that). Anyway, he seemed to think it might be an throttle issue. I opened up both gas...

    12V LiFePO4 Battery Project - Suggestions Wanted

Audi etron gt has a lifepo4 12v battery and no battery heating. But it has communication with the battery, so it very possible that it adjusts charging according to temperature.

    Yamaha YZ250F

I was racing today, first heat went fine. Then at heat 2 it started running rough and cutting out. If I stopped and released the throttle it was fine again. It continued like that several times. I thought it might be the reverse switch, like if it got connection, then not, connection again etc...

    Electric Kart QS138 96V

Cool, there have been a few cart builds on the forum, but I can only think of one where there has been results posted. And that is Nuxlands build: Electric kart It seems like heat has been a big problem from what I remember, and that is with a bigger motor.

    Yamaha YZ450F

Hard to see in the picture, but it is very tight to fit the wiring over the cells: It would probably be possible to get some more room if I built a new top part now when I can see exactly how much room I have over it. It isn't sealed yet, but still a milestone to have a "finished" battery...

    Solar Catamaran, EV motor controller

I don't really know anything about the trampa vesc controllers, but they seem aimed at light duty. (Like skate boards) I think it will be a matter of enough cooling, and I think the best bet would be the sevcon, fardriver, 3shul etc. design with a thick alu plate for cooling. If air isn't...

    Solar Catamaran, EV motor controller

I would expect the 300A spec on the vesc to be phase amp, as battery amp isn't very relevant for the controller. (it is probably not limited on battery amp) I don't know if it have changed on the newer model, but the earlier nucular were more for the light bike category and would overheat...

    An Electric, Chinese Lancia Stratos?

Only China probably means "not up to safety standard in other countries" It is a lot easier to build something light if you don't have crash beams and airbags everywhere, and surveillance outside (and inside) of the car etc.

    Yamaha YZ450F

Building battery: It seems I don't have many decent photos, so it seems this will be it for now. 450A fuse might be on the low side, but I have a few of these.. It should be able to take bursts of a lot more it seems: https://www.pecj.co.jp/fuse/files/PEC_EVFP38tinplating_en.pdf The...

Broke a damn tire again: I didn't notice until I got home again though, mousse can be really good sometimes ;) I guess I better change the tire right away, in my experience those holes get bigger fast

    Emmo Knight Turbo upgrades

I would flip your priority order, 1 battery, 2 controller, 3 motor. I might add that I'm not familiar with your bike, but that is the order that normally gets the best result. People often get it the other way around though, thinking that changing motor will be a good upgrade when it is the...

Program sine wave 18 mosfet controller help

Interesting, I use regen for maybe 90% of my rear wheel braking as it is better and more effective (it dosent matter how much mud or ice or whatever there is on the brake disc) easier (just press a thumb throttle vs. pulling the brake handle) more economical (less brake wear, and I actually get...

    KTM 200 exc goes electric

Sorry, he said specifically that I could not share it. There were also hardcoded settings for my bike in the app, so it wasn't easy to change to what you have.

    KTM 200 exc goes electric

It is a homemade app I got to test from another user, I don't think it is available to find anywhere. You used your 150sp Votol at 300 amp peak battery.?? I think I ran 300bA for a while, until I turned it up to 400. I dont think it ever reached more than 350-370bA though.

Neither motor working, would appreciate your help

You have to turn off the park, from what I remember you de-activate that input on the last page in the program? It is the page where you choose what inputs and outputs to use, and what for. Not sure about your communication issue, but from what I remember there are some settings on the first...

    Mangosteeen m1 cutting out power.

the times it cut out so you had to unplug the battery for it to start again sure sounds like the bms turned off for whatever reason anyway. The other times it is harder to say if it is battery or something else.

What motor and controller, dirtbike 60KW plus

I thought that it was a low kv motor, but maybe not if it is only 100Nm at 1800pA. I think that the sotion gts35 would be more interesting anyway with gear reduction and it seems to have high kv. But I dont have any experiance with any of them though. I wouldnt consider running without a primary...

What motor and controller, dirtbike 60KW plus

The biggest challange will probably be a battery that can deliver that power and fit on the bike.

    Yamaha YZ450F

I even have these microballoons: I haven't used this, but something similar a long time ago. But I thought I would be able to get the fiberglass down there as I had time to go back and forth many times. I was thinking it would be better in the end to get the strength of the fiberglass...

    Yamaha YZ450F

This was a difficult one to make, but I think it turned out rather well in the end: I bit much polyester in some places though, as I couldn't reach to work it in properly. I went with black when I couldn't find the right blue. Rough-cleaned, there will be some more fitting to do. A...
