TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

It makes perfect sense! This is why I saw on the LCD only the power blinking on 20 or 30 w. I fell at almost 5km/h :))

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

To be honest, I do not get it. What has a fall on right side has to to with the power setting? Of course I can fully reset the software. Why I have initial startup boost and then no power? Boost is torque only based so sensor should be ok. I remember that when I lifted the bike the only thing on...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I managed today to take a small fall with the bike and the result is that I no longer get any assistance. I get startup boost and after 0w. I run debug mode on menu 12: - i get speed read correctly - i get torque on pedal and adac - i get cadence read - human power is always 0 ! Please help...

Hi, 5-10 C additional. For example on flat city drive i get 35-40C.

Starting from the experimental hugh cadence mode and based on the technical details above provided by casainho, I tested various combinations of FOC angle and MAX_ERPS for the 48v motor trying to find the best motor behavior. I tested FOC from 200 - 230 and MAX_ERPS from 700 - 1000. The best...

I did some research and I came up with this paper. It seems to be the solution for our problem, but I am no expert in electrical motors. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/271613714_Advance_Angle_Calculation_for_Improvement_of_the_Torque-to-Current_Ratio_of_Brushless_DC_Motor_Drives The...

Thanks for the good technical explanation! I know there is an enhancement request in github for this. If the devs have some idea how to enhance this, I will help with beta testing.

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I am trying to make a summary of what are my options: 1. Use high cadence 48v to see how it works 2. Decrease the inverse ramp. I am pretty sure I am not hitting max current with 300w. (300w/48v is much smaller than 18a.) 3. Increase the PWM_Max_Duty_Cycle. This is not trivial because the...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

ERPS speed goes around 480 at high load PWM duty-cycle hits 254 quite easy Is there a way to overcome this limitation? Can this be increased? High cadence mode for 48v helps here?

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I am definitely not hitting the max cadence because in that case the motor cuts the power to 0. I will check the values you mentioned on my way back from work today and come back with the info.

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I managed to do some good testing of 0.18.2 in the past 3 weeks. A strange thing that I noticed is that in some cases even if the human power increases, the motor power in W drops. This happens at higher speeds. Also if I use assist of 0.6 and assist of 4 it is almost same difficulty to pass...

I ordered some waterproof cables with connectors from aliexpress. They are quite cheap and should arrive fast to Australia. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/40cm-2-pairs-lot-Waterproof-Connector-Cables-2-3-4-pins-With-Female-Plug-And-Male/32921402006.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.19124c4dWWsO6C. TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I used the already created branch(https://github.com/OpenSource-EBike-firmware/TSDZ2-Smart-EBike/tree/49-Implement_battery_current_ramp) and made a manual release from it. Yes, it works to flash with the speed sensor connected. Initially I made connections directly on the motor wires since my...

@ Cas I run today 0.15 with current ramp for lag. In my opinion the fix is solid even when starting in 8th gear. Previously the lag was 2s +. The power delivery is solid gold, bike is very responsive. I can hit 45km/h with 0.4 assist using 220w.

Hi casainho, Any idea when an official release will be done on the new features? I am really curious how the new power delivery function feels. :) I could run some tests from the master branch if some more validation is needed. Thanks for the significant effort to make this! @jbalat I just...

Having 2 magnets will definitely improve measurements, it's simple statistics. The original soft had the possibility to add more magnets but it was bugged and did not work. If we can add such a feature it would be a good thing. Regarding the extra cost, I bought a second magnet from Decathlon...

At the moment I have a problem with the min assist code. It gets very fast to max power and remains there as long as I pedal. Even if I configure very small assist levels for cadence and torque. I think I am missing something just can't figure it out. Any idea is wellcome. Also the...

Today I did a small test with 0.14.4.beta3. I manged to get my cable working and did a quick connector for the LCD. #define MIN_ADC_TORQUE_UNITS 4 //maximum 30 units #define MIN_CADENCE_RPM 15 // standard cadence I was able to achive 500w on 500w assist level. The...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Today I manged to use cable. The problem was the STLNK clone. I bought a new one and works even with USB extender. Hope it helps you. I really wish I knew this 1 month ago since it would have saved me a lot of problems!

Hi Jbalat, Thank you for the valuable testing. For beta1: Please make sure that you always get the latest code. I made the changes at work in a simple editor because I do not have the dev environment. I fixed the problem in the evening when I made the 2 releases. For beta2: I tryed to make...

I made a release for the min current feature from my branch for beta testing. This was already code reviewed. => 0.14.4.beta1.zip I also made release for reaching easier the maximum assisted power level, better responsiveness. => 0.14.4.beta2.zip

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I do not know how PWM_DUTY_CYCLE_RAMP_UP works or does :D. Any explanation is welcome. In my opinion BOOST != MIN_ASSIST. Boost helps startup stationary or on the move. What I done should help the user reach easier the assist power. It is a permanent assistance with a minimal value. It should...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

My idea was to achieve the "min adc units" proposal. I took it a bit further and also added min cadence units. If there is a minimal value then I could make the mapping function more abrupt resulting in a better motor response. I am using the map function to map a smaller interval to 0-255...

Hi EC, Thanks for your support. I have good experience with git and GitLab(paid version). However Github is different. I tryed to make a branch on existing project and push it, but it does not work. If fork is the way to go. I will make a fork and pull req from it. Btw I really like the way you...
