New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

In case anyone else is interested, I've measured the 8 pin cable at 5.7mm. I was considering running the display cable through where the front derailleur cable was. In comparison, gear shift cable housing is 4mm and both brake cable and hydraulic hose is 5mm.

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

With my kit I received a speed sensor with a double connector but I won't be running any lights (for now). It didn't come with any dust caps for the connectors, was it supposed to or what are other people doing to keep water etc out? I don't want to silicone it up as I may use it in the future...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Thanks for the info. It sounds like the motor would still go strong even when the 52V battery is almost flat. Have you flashed the firmware or just left it stock for now? I'd like to know it's possible to enable the high cadence mode on 52V or whether it's even necessary. I'm not sure if or...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

After replacing the blue gear with the metal one, can we use any grease or does it still need to be that special stuff?

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

That's good. So at top end the battery voltage be utilised above ~56V?

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Is this reduced maximum usable voltage still a problem for 52V even after flashing the firmware?

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I was going to include one in my order but they still added the additional shipping for the gear to the total even though the motor shipping was free, so it didn't work out any cheaper than ordering separately. Perhaps they ship from different locations.

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I'm trying to decide between a 48V or 52V battery because the cadence limit is an issue. I often cruise at about 80 RPM unassisted which seems right on the edge. Of course this may drop once I have a motor under me. Does anyone know if the same cadence limit applies to both 48V and 52V? Or...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Good idea, I'm looking at the Cycle Satiator charger which should be able to do that. However, I'm stuck trying to decide between a 48V or 52V battery. The cadence limit is an issue, but I'll post in the firmware thread instead.

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Thanks for the info, I'm considering the 48V 13S5P Samsung 35E version of this. https://em3ev.com/shop/em3ev-48v-13s5p-jumbo-shark-ebike-battery/ The cells are 8A continuous/13A max burst, so both the pack ratings are under the continuous rating at about 1.5C and 2C.

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Is a battery rated 25A Continuous/34A Max Burst going to be fine for running the motor at 15A or even 18A? Does it ever exceed 18A? It seems ok to me, but then I see some posts saying for safe headroom to double the amps needed.

Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

Could you post a link to that please? I wonder why the GitHub repo is no longer being updated.

This was previously posted, does anyone know the last one's details and if anything is missing?

Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

I'm yet to make up a cable but is the 4th one needed VCC/5V ? The wiki says it's optional so in what situation could it corrupt the firmware?

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hefest, did you ever find out more about the 18A version? I see that PSWPower lists both the 48V 500W & 750W as 15A but then there are other sellers with 18A versions...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Is the VLCD5 8 pin cable thicker than the 6 pin cable, and does anyone know the diameter of each please?

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Thank you for the helpful info. I hadn't seen the recent posts in that thread, good to know it's caught up to 0.19 now. I had been checking Github and the latest there is 0.16. Ok, so now I understand I can only use the VLCD5 with marcoq's fork which includes the Java configurator... excellent...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I'm about to order a kit from PSWPower with the VLCD5 display but the more I read the more confused I get. If I use the VLCD5 can I still flash the firmware? Would I be missing anything important that only using the KT-LCD3 can do, or can I still change any inaccessible settings by reflashing...
