Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev!

Tnx Vas! My bike has been down for tooo long and I wanna fix it up for this summer...! Rant! lol Prices and/or ETA on controller and motor? Specs? 8)

Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev!

Awesome! It's about damn time for a new motor and esc for my swing-arm drive Genesis. ETA?!? :D I see Revolt has a new "E" line up of motors... but there is noooo info about them yet. Do you know anything about them or are you planning to try one or two on your ESC? In the past my Genesis...

    Making a C120-110

Hi Thud. :) 10kw++ with the same diameter and length of a stock kx100 crank shaft... you betcha; NOTHING ELSE even comes close the the awesomeness/power density/form factor of this! Get this, the engine already comes with a gear that is PERFECT, both in that it has a 12mm hole, and that it...

    Making a C120-110

Awesome, I thought so about the end turns. You just don't see any loooong outrunners, so I figured there must be some reason. Maybe I'm on to something here?! I will start my own thread for the build once I have the motors in hand. I already have the KX100 bike and trans torn apart. :twisted...

    Making a C120-110

I will be able to purchase two 80-100 motors in the next few days. I plan to attempt the same thing you have here. It will be going in a "KX-100" 6 speed transmission. ;) You can help me know if I should go ahead and do it by giving an update on how yours is turning out. I have saved for 2+...

The *Genesis* is only the begining...

Thanks guys. Sorry I never replied. I'm a POS. I'm sure you're right about the air flow thing. I do have a shroud around the back/base of the motor now so the air has to pass along the can to reach the back of the fan there.

The true sine-wave (vectored) controller & electronics set

The OP's lack of posts and responses to questions here on ES clearly shows a lack of interest in pushing this product to success. SUCKS! WTF! We're the laughing stock of history/progress! AND THIS is THE ONE form of "PROGRESS" that could be GOOD FOR HUMANITY, SAD, SAD, SAD! May one hard...

Current Throttle for Lyen/china controllers (almost SOVED)

I'm not frustrated with you thud. You gave your replies an honest try. What gets me is.. case in point; A thread is started asking how to add a brake light and just a few days later there is 6 pages of replies...blaaablaablaaaaa. This is especially frustrating when there are already multiple...

Current Throttle for Lyen/china controllers (almost SOVED)

I hope so! I think all I will need is a new 2x long base/bearing tube, and a 2x length magnet bell tube/sleeve to fit over 2 stock magnet rings?! I would think that this could all be done on a lathe? My only sticking point is how to get the stator core off of the stock bearing...

Current Throttle for Lyen/china controllers (almost SOVED)

The cap and resistor circuits are RC time constant circuits in an attempt to control the speed at which the voltage of the current sense line rises and falls to eliminate the cutting out from operating the mechanical throttle too fast. That is THE main objective of this thread. ;) I agree...

Current Throttle for Lyen/china controllers (almost SOVED)

Thanks so far guys, Sup Thud! What would you say if I told you I am going to make a custom double long 80-100? ..or should I say an 80-200..to fit where the crank would go on a KX-100?! This morning I measured R43. It was 1K. I changed it to a 12k. I didn't find a 47k on my scrap boards, but...

Current Throttle for Lyen/china controllers (almost SOVED)

Here's some more pics. The first two are of how the controller and all the electrics are mounted on the bike. It's all in a box that wraps around the top tube of the frame and needs to be bent open to pull the controller out. Other things to notice in the rest of the pics are the 3 small...

Current Throttle for Lyen/china controllers (almost SOVED)

The main pot is 25ohm, and the trim pots are 50ohm 10 turn. I'm not sure if I can do the cap and trim pot value calculations for the RC circuit(s), one reason being that the voltage (vcc of this circuit) is the voltage drop across the shunt which is a very low value.. too low to measure with my...

Current Throttle for Lyen/china controllers (almost SOVED)

Hi guys, I have been trying to get a working form of current throttle on my Lyen 12fet controller. So far I have it hooked up and working in it's basic form using advice I gleaned from this thread: http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=31643&start=15 It is currently configured...

The true sine-wave (vectored) controller & electronics set

Hi Zom! You gotta come check out the track sometime. The nice thing is it is made on a mound of sand so it is dry within a day of a hard rainfall! And it's not just sand, it's black and a bit sticky so it doesn't push around under thin tires like you would expect, but if you fall into it, your...

KF, thanks, reading now.. Lebowski, you got a thread for that baby?! In the meantime check this out: http://www.propulsionmarine.com/electric/10kw-water-cooled-electric-drive It looks like the big motor is the PMS 150 or 156 in the top "comparison" pic..but what I'd like you guys to take a...

The true sine-wave (vectored) controller & electronics set

Thanks KF, Yep, it's 7.5kw nominal continuous with air cooling. 13kw rated "max" but we know what that means...for how long? I'm sure it can handle more for a short time but I'm not going that high. 9-10kw is good enough for me as I will have it geared for ~35-40mph top speed. I have a dirt...
