    From 36V 20Ah to bottle 36V 5Ah

Thank you al so much for the advice! So I better use the last years of my Ping batteries. I have 2 of them: 36V 10Ah and 36V 15Ah (I thought it was 20Ah). Now I commute with a folding bicycle at about 15 km a day. Before that was 30 km a day with the ping batteries and the 15Ah I used for long...

    From 36V 20Ah to bottle 36V 5Ah

Hello fellow cyclers, I have a battery 36V 20Ah from China Ping batteries for about 3 years now. Due to my shorter working distance now, the pack is too heavy to carry on a folding bicycle and I want to strip it down to a e.g. 36V 5Ah. Build inside a bottle or whatever protection that is easy...

    Dahon Jetstream P8, Phoenix Racer, Ping 48v 20ah V2 !!!

Very interested in buying a Dahon Jetstream P8. I already have Bafang 36V front hub engine. This is a 100 mm front motor. I wonder if the standard front suspension fork of the Dahon Jetstream is already 100 mm wide or if it is only 80 mm?

Last year my controller was broken (water got inside and destroyed some FETs) and I got a new one (guaranty) from the dealer. Although he sended me another type then the previous one, same Voltage 36/48V, but less amps...

    Motor shutdown - help

If I connect another controller to the engine, the wheel runs without any friction. SO it is probably a problem in the controller. On the side of the print where the switchcover is on the controller, there seem to be a little oxidation. From water? How can I clean this up or repair if this might...

    Motor shutdown - help

Yes, after I dried the controller out (it was not even wet in my opinion), and connected to the motor, the resistance in the wheel was still there (like before). Only with an unplugged engine, the resistance is gone. So then the problem is in the controller? Can I fix that? WHat can I do about a...

    Motor shutdown - help

Thanks for all the replies. Today I opened the controller and dried it with a hot air blower. I could not see any moisture inside. Also took apart the connections, seems to be dry all. Only now what is left is the engine ... Just take apart the engine through the screws? And then dry everything...

Buillding a new setup for long distance - advice please

I also wondered today what the advantage is of a 26'' wheel compard to an 20 '' wheel from a folding bicycle? Electrically or mechanically seen ... Now with my Dahon folding bicycle and Bafang 36V 250W planet geared motor i consume 7Wh/km driving at 25 km/h. I wonder what is consumed in Wh/km...

Buillding a new setup for long distance - advice please

First of all thank you all for your constructive replies! So i have been rethinking ... I better rescale my demands to 110 km at 40 km/h (median speed: 33 km/h with traffic and stops?) makes + 3,5 hours of travelling. Stopping in between is not an option, so i have to reduce my speed and take...

Hello all fellow e-bike drivers, For the moment i have two ebikes (1 recumbent and one folding Dahon) with Bafang 36V engines. They drive 25 km/h both with 36 V LiFePO4 battery. I have them for 2 years now and am satisfied, but want greater speed now for long distance drive (+120 km) within...
