    Bafang M500/M600 thread

Hey, the vesc isn't sensible to "slow" voltage rises, but to "spikes". they happen when you plug the battery in for example, or when the back emf, for some reason cannot find a consistent load. Trust me there, 60V-able drv were the biggest brake to vesc-for ebikes :) Concerning the current and...

    Bafang M500/M600 thread

Sorry to barge in the topic a bit widely but two things need to be mentioned: -Flipsky is not a company very famous for it's marketing claim fairness and ethical behaviour. -The biggest issue with the 6.7 mini is that vesc are VERY sensitive to voltage spikes (like really really :) ) a 60V...

FLIPSKY new 20s 100A tiny controller (vesc based)

And is there someone here having had success with the PAS on a 75100? I'm a bit stuck right now and may need a bit of help :) Gruß, H.

FLIPSKY new 20s 100A tiny controller (vesc based)

Hey, Are you using original firmware? I got issue with observer on last firmware (6.0b) but needed it for the lisp integration. Seems they changed a bunch and for our hardware that may not be perfect. Anyway detection with 5.3 firmware works all the time here (it's a standard v202).

New "Lingbei MM28.250 torque sensor mid drive"

Hi there :) I indeed didn't test the Opensource firmware on them :). For the version, do you know when they start to build the blue gear? The last unit I tried is about 6 month old directly from them for test purpose. As stated before, the motor isn't bad here, just low(er) torque and Very...

New "Lingbei MM28.250 torque sensor mid drive"

The ones I have here are definitely way way louder than the lingbei, even with regrease. The lingbei is really more silent., Specially at low rpm. The bbshd is the boss for silence, but too, way to much power per wh at low power.

New "Lingbei MM28.250 torque sensor mid drive"

@slowco that's an excellent proposition. The tdsz2 is very nice for range. It's pretty noisy and lack torque but it does make wonders for battery consumption :)

New "Lingbei MM28.250 torque sensor mid drive"

The lingbei aren't long range mids. They tend to have a high consumption at lower assist level. I use them strickly on cargo now. They are absolutely perfect for this. For reference, with a 800wh battery the range on a emtb used on streets is about 70-80km. (At 25-30kmh) With a 500wh, and use...

    Most efficent propulsion?

Mate! I get satisfaction in being less stupid than a day before 😅🙈. I did this the last month by showing myself how wrong all my "common sense" was as soon as it had something to do with hull efficiency 😅 So please don't take my mentions as granted 🙈. From what I've read (and searched) you have...

    Most efficent propulsion?

Cats can halve the weight/hull indeed, but again, pretty sure I've seen lots of comparison on displacement hulls giving close to no difference seeing that weight/length ratio is maintened . That said, as soon as it's brainfucking area, I would be glad to be shown wrong 😅☝️

    Most efficent propulsion?

These are planing hulls, it's a different story :) again, in displacement, only length and weight ratio prevail (with some minor tweaks with hull geometry) :)

    Most efficent propulsion?

For the same length no. More or less for displacement hull the rule is the longer, the lighter prevail. Check human powered races legislation (like rowing), what they use as restrictions are the parameters that influence the 300-500W power-field :) Solar boar are often cats because you can...

    Horsepower needed?

Sorry mate, I thought I gave you the link already, epic fail 😅🙈 There you go: http://www.psychosnail.com/boatspeedcalculator.aspx It's pretty straight forward, but give very nice ideas for displacement and semi displacement hulls :) The guy also made some real life comparison, which is great...

    Horsepower needed?

Take a look at this calculator. If you don't plan to plan, this will give you a pretty solid estimation. Also beware that most of calculator are talking about propulsive power, the propeller design (take a look at javaprop) will show you the motor power and the unfortunately huge losses on...

    Electric fishing canoe

Y E S! :)) The idea I had is the first one you intended (Hybrid-Diesel) Made a lot of calculations concerning boat consumption, solar generation/vs area and asked anybody willing to answer about their needs for propulsion in real life. After all this, I thought there were no way to have pure...

Hey, Missed the notification 🙈 Just to let you know that I started my little project (2-3kWw brushless trolling motor) This with the sailboat conversion is a dream I keep for the future :) I've got some pretty cool ideas for that 😬 That said, if you happen to find time to push a bit of info on...

KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW)

Hey mate! Saw your post on the KT opensource thread. I have the same controller and installed the firmware too. I have also installed osec and used the app to check hall phase and current sense phase on phase b (the little diagram + phase color feedback) Anyway, I don't get anything regarding...

KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW)

Thanks Geoff.. well mine went real bad, melted the coat and started to weld to the capacitor 😅 (remember it's a hailong controller) I will probably change this by adding a small dc-dc or route it outside I suspect the openspurce firmware sucks a bit more, and this bit more is over the very very...

KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW)

Hey there, I've the KT9 in the hailong dock. I have two issues: -it NEVER worked correctly with original firmware and my modded GT-Direct drive (similar to bionx motor) with 120° halls since I changed them to ss41 -the power resistor gets hot as hell 😅🔥🙈. Did anybody had this? All seems quite...

New "Lingbei MM28.250 torque sensor mid drive"

I use the lingbei a lot. They are "flashable" not "programmable". Which means you can get different factory firmware to be flashed. From my experience, they have way too much consumption in the first assist levels. That sucks real hard for clients having small (500wh) batteries. Added to...

    bluetooth BMS?

Puuh, it is a long time for me posting in the main forum 😅☝️ I just succeeded to tune one of them. Went from 14s30A to 15S 60A. For those getting a shock like me. When you remove the 13-14s bridge and rewire everything, the 15S cell shows in the soft 26V... trust me, I unplugged it a few times...

    BionX igh i3 disassembly

Hi there! Any BionX advanced repair user here? I try to disassemble a motor i3 (with integrated igh) and I have no clue how to extract the stator. It seems that the right dropout where the torque sensor is built in needs some kind of release as it comes with the stator. Any hint would be greatly...
