    How difficult is basic frame fabrication?

    I built my own frame, with NO knowledge, with an angle grinder and a borrowed stick welder. It held me for around 1000miles at up to 30mph, though it was heavy (2mm x 40mm box section lol) With your past experience it should be no problem mate! Jay

    Looks great! In your experience, if I were to try something similar but with steel sheet (no tig welder/knowledge), what sort of thickness would be strong enough? I have done a little framebuilding, but only with thick tube/box section. Cheers Jay

    could you get away with a shorter axel-crown fork and lower the swingarm any? My custom frame was wrong in the other direction, longer fork and shorter shock got it ridable....

    You can get a 206mm long BB from sickbikeparts, I may use this on my mid-drive to clear the HPM5000/Mars/MiniMonster rocket :twisted: Love this build btw and Mild steel (at least on the first 'draft' of a frame for the win!) Jay
