    go for the saints ;-) they can take a lot more heat I've used slx in the past and they started to leak between the pistons due to abusive usage (mosly heat) now I have 4 piston saints and they hold up very good + they have endless stopping power

    that freewheel speed is normal for your voltage, it rather indicates that everything is fine with your motor the more amps, the more noise the motor makes ;)

    with enough amps you'll get the torque you need out of a HS3540 with plenty of speed :lol: mine does power wheely's ;) but keep an eye on the temp tho, I wouldn't do this if there are a lot of hills, just for quick standing stops if you want to outrun kids on mopeds

    yes indeed, the screws are VERY low quality and quarter of them need to get drilled out due to damage from the assy line if you want to open up the motor

    What features do I need in a multimeter?

    Voltage, diode tester, resistance if you confuse AH with Amps then an A-meter isn't for you :wink: just go for the basic voltage - ohm meter that is accurate enough to measure voltage at cel level

    Getting rid of old lipo (now with 18650 rocket)

    I have never ridden drum brakes before in my life, would love to know more about them and how they work (even seen hub motors with a drum brake) how does a (good) drum brake compare to a (good) rim and (good) disk brake?

    i totally agree! even the overhyped and overpriced 250watt specialized turbo uses disks (and it sells) maybe ask specialized why they went for disk brakes ;-) (the bike looks a lot like a road racer and still has disks, maybe its because UCI isnt involved :lol:)

    there is a huge difference between braking at 30mph+ and 15mph, i dont see a tandem doing those high speeds a tandem frame is very expensive and mostly custom/handmade, obviously something was done to keep the price / weight down,
