Most Reliable afforable inner tube for ebike?

I buy Kenda tubes because of the cheap price and good thickness of the rubber. I get the non-threaded stems. Easier on my pump. The chuck will last longer.I check the air every morning on the bike I'll take that day. I also put 2 oz of Stans in there because I live in New Mexico. Goat head city...

    Ever pedal without power?

I set my CA at 23mph and pedal to keep it there. That way I can leave the throttle open all the way or, as they call it here, WFO. I really only slow down on hills but we have a lot of them so they keep me busy. I normally keep that speed on the flats on a manual bike. O' and I fake peddle past...

single speed freewheel on long axle

Interesting fix Mr.E. I wold like to have a single speed gear as well. I went to a 3/32 chain in hopes of not popping it off when it flexes the rear wheel. I was also wondering if any of you all made chain tensioners for adjustment? If the set up I have pops off I think I will weld a true SS...

single speed freewheel on long axle

I also had a problem with the outside rubbing and didn't want to shove in another spacer. Sooo I ground off the threads and all is good so far.

single speed freewheel on long axle

I couldn't put the gear up next to the next step-up on the shaft. The chain would hop off due to the links coming in contact with it. I'd put a small spacer on the other side of the sprocket as well.

single speed freewheel on long axle

Yes I just hold the gear on the shaft by putting 3 small tac welds on the sprocket and shaft.

Your Creation's Before & After Pics

I don't really have a before pic but you can see the bike didn't change much. This was an old Bianchi WUSS I had. This is the first of whats going to be many re-do-overs. I wanted to keep it clean and will build a aluminum frame mount eventually. Thanks to this site for all the great ideas. Also...

Las Cruces NM defines an E-bike

I feel for ya. I'm in Albuquerque and still researching / putting together my first build. I ride 15 miles to work each way for a total of 30. The paths are what I want to stay on because I like away from the cars. I use Rio Rancho paths, the Bosque and North Diversion channel bike paths. I'm...
