Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

Well Knutsemaaster, I totally agree with your conclusion. Speedict mercury is utter crap. I have only experienced a lot of trouble at the end of the day. The product looked promising especially for the high powerbikes in Europe because of the roadlegal2 function. But as I have concluded before...

Everyone still happy with Speedict products?

I was wondering if there are any developments regarding the "test-drive" function.

A reed switch can reverse the action or am I wrong. As long as this is possible, you are not safe as I have said before.

I do disagree with you. The police is not dumb. When you have attracted their attention by speeding or at least riding your bike without pedalling at a consitent speed then a simple hardware switch won't safe you. I have seen this multiple times with the young people on their tuned up mopeds...

Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

Although I haven't touched my bike after all the previous problems that I have read about with GPS etc, I think that this maybe the solution. But after using the road-legal switch, is there another button or easy way to get back to off-road (unlimited) settings?

It is not for fun that 3nslav3 actually does have a stealth like throttle. But when the police will be suspicious about the bike's performance and bring it in for research then it is a bit naive to think you will get away with it. A software switch would make the difference though.

Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

If we want to be pedal assisted by a 250 Watt motor, then it is cheaper to buy a prefab road-legal bike. But I think that the people who are buying a speedict, actually do run bikes with maybe 1000 Watt motors and want to use the power on the road occasionally. I can imagine the situation that...

In The Netherlands I do believe that the use of a throttle is against the law. Compromise would be a throttle start up to max 6 km/hr.

Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

As I have understood from earlier postings, speedict can be programmed with a software button to switch between road-legal PAS mode and offroad-no limits. Wouldn't this be a lot better? I prefer a normal throttle that does work when I want to use it and that will be useless in road-legal mode...

Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

The last time I have tried out the Mercury was about 2 months ago. Outside it started freezing so I have only tested the Mercury during a short ride. During my ride I noticed that the blu- tooth connection failed. I haven't touched the bike since because I preferred to wait for sofware...

OK that makes sense, in that case can you program speedict to do this backward 3 cycles solution? Thinking about this solution, it may even be better because fiddeling with a smartphone while the police is on your hips is really not very handy indeed.

I think what Erikjan meant is that he uses throttle for the 6 km/h start in roadlegal2 and then PAS up to 25 km/h in roadlegal2. He doesn't really need a startbutton. The use of the 6 km/hr start is only to justify the use of a throttle (max 6 km/hr) in roadlegal2 while we really need a throttle...

Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

For the function described by Erikjan, I have bought the mercury only to find out that it actually seems to be useless at the moment for me. I hope that this "switch" will come available soon. The previous posts with Nico and Erikjan made me believe that mercury should be THE device with this...

I don't think that this coolermod product is as cool as speedict, especially for the road-legal function.

Well after having read about this nifty speedict device I just can't wait to get one myself. Especially the road legal option makes it very interesting to get some biking fun while the bike is temporarely not road- legal. So today I have ordered one. I'll join the club.
