Justin have you made any progress with this project that you'd be willing to share?

Grin's weight sensing electric longboards #4 and 5, and kit!

At those kind of speeds I think you may have to reconsider using traditional geometry trucks and move over to a reverse kingpin setup. Traditional geometry trucks such as the legendary Bennett make for a great front pumping truck with a nice deep dive but can be quite 'squirrelly' at speed. RKP...

Grin's weight sensing electric longboards #4 and 5, and kit!

Now you've got me really excited! I'd definitely be interested in what you can develop with this concept… it's been far too long since my last board project :D

Grin's weight sensing electric longboards #4 and 5, and kit!

I love your concept and have been following it's development for many years. My dream board would be the skateboard equivalent of a pedelec - an electric assisted LDP setup. Check out http://pavedwave.org for the theory behind LDP. Mark at http://www.gbomblongboards.com has been hard at work...

10S custom skate ESC: testers wanted!

Going round in circles? Here's a thread from a year ago that touched on the workings of Alien ESCs. Makes for some interesting reading. http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=53398&p=794430&hilit=alien#p794430

10S custom skate ESC: testers wanted!

Now you've got me excited! I'm still struggling with cogging on startup with my Alien 150A ESCs on my 4x4 e-MTB. I'd hoped that a motor (6374) per wheel on 10s would deal with the issue but it still remains. Granted, it isn't designed for onroad use (much less inertia to overcome) but I wouldn't...

WIN FREE ENERTION GEAR | !! WINNERS ANNOUNCED !!

Finally back home for a few days and there's a package from Australia waiting for me... A few observations; Parts look great, solid with a smooth polished finish. Great looking machining, love all the angles. Anodising is good and uniform, the blue really pops. Powder coat colour on trucks...

Looking good. Look forward to getting news on the K1 setup I won back in June. Can't wait to start the build...

    Belt drive alternative?

I believe hub motors (and weight sensing) to be the holy grail for commuter e-boards. If correctly applied it should be a more efficient solution than geared drives, allow more natural coasting and look more stealth to boot. Skateboards are susceptible to immense vibration and the load on the...

    Belt drive alternative?

Did you read through to the end of the thread? In the latest version Justin was using 83mm Centrax.

Video Pool - Post E-Board/ Non E-Board Videos worth watching

There are many slick longboard videos about produced by the big manufacturers. Here are a few of my favourite skate videos showing what else is possible... pd3TlkitmAk i2bvozq-KK8 pk8dy4NIzBU bfkWMpCKrBE tSnfO15cAHE Beto if you're feeling old then this won't help  Jf8cc3RkTNQ

My first build - Mini board - UPDATE!

Good skills. Must be quite twitchy at speed with the short wheelbase, great for pedestrian slalom though

    Powder Coated Electric Longboard Trucks!

Looking good. Have you considered keeping the pivots 'naked', it may help prevent any potential binding in tight/hard pivot cups.

    Destroyer 12s Urban Racer Build

You can also use silicon sealant to pot electricals, best use neutral cure for electronics to avoid corrosion of components. Tegaderm will allow the silicon to cure and create a smooth surface finish.

Not only will you help combat pollution and push the fusion of skateboard profusion as a last mile solution to traffic confusion but rage against the collusion of the imposed institution. iNsele - honey badger 4x4 eMTB

NoSno are the undisputed kings of the World Downhill Championships. These boards are raced at 50mph under gravity so my e-board should be well within the design constraints. MBS Matrix and the like have a geometry better suited to technical and freestyle disciplines. I guess it's much like...
