My RC ebike -Matt Shumaker Astro3220- with a mind of its own

There's another way you could wire this up.... through the cycle analyst. I'm not sure which version you have there but all are capable of putting out the correct signals for R/C mode. Wire the throttle into the CA, select R/C mode and wire the HV160 inton the CA. You then have another set of...

    RC mid-drive build from scratch. 80100, HV160, aim = 40mph+

looks like it's coming along well.... I would advise against doing too much bench testing with the settings of the CC HV160 and CA as thats what I did but as soon as you mount everything and connect it all up it all behaves differently. My advice would be to have a look on this...

    UK Power E-bike build

UPDATE OK so time for honesty, this project failed miserably! Lack of knowledge = Failure! First thing that went wrong on the test rude was the rear suspension collapsed as it was set up for an 80 Kg rider not a 120 Kg rider plus 30 Kg of drive components. Second was that the clamp to the...

    Caterham Ebikes

To be honest as it's Caterham who are making it I think it will be quite light. All the cars they ever produced have been based on a high power to low weight ratio with excellent balance. A local bike shop had a Surly with those big fat tires and rims and when I asked to feel the weight of it I...

    RC mid-drive build from scratch. 80100, HV160, aim = 40mph+

Where abouts are in the UK ??. The input to the ESC's are not a straight forward up and down voltage ramp to make them work, RC ESC's use a PWM input for the throttle, The CA is able to do this but I dont think its by default. 2 Astros on a bicycle would be insane power and very intresting to...
