Cute Q100 lightweight builds slow mtb, fast road

    - 328rpm Q100 with 36V battery on a road bike and flat ground is very nice, if you are willing to pedal a bit. 328 rpm correspond to the speed of around 25 miles per hour, and this is easy to reach and maintain. I had a bicycle like this for a while, and loved it. - I used the rear motor...

Hi motomech, your ebay link does not seem to work.

Cute Q100 lightweight builds slow mtb, fast road

By the way, what controllers are people using? I'd be interested in a smallest controller which can do 36v 250w. I really like controllers built into batteries from bmsbattery, but I had some negative experience with them. Also would prefer a controller which is independent from battery, so it...

Cute Q100 lightweight builds slow mtb, fast road

Hi, I tried to look up differences between Q100 and Q100C, and did not find anything informative. Why is Q100C better?

    Improving bottle battery connectors.

xt60 it is! Many thanks for the advice! It takes now long time to put on and remove the battery, but at least the connection is good.

    Improving bottle battery connectors.

Thank you for the answers! M23 is a very impressive conector, but a total overkill for me, I only need two wires. It looks like xt90 is a good option. Ideally I would do some magic with the current connectors, so that they work and do not break, but I don't see how. Is xt60 any worse than...

    Improving bottle battery connectors.

Hi, I have a standard bottle battery from bmsbattery on my road bicycle. I have a problem with connectors - they sometimes break. I attribute this to both bad design and to strong vibrations of a road bicycle. Here is a photo of the connectors on the battery: The problem is that the blades...

power loss problem - Q100+S06S+LCD+36V+pedal sensor

Hi. I was abroad for a long time, and forgot to write back. I found that a connector in the base of the battery was broken. This is one of the two connections that lead to controller from the battery. Probably it broke as a result of vibration. I had a spare bottle battery, and I took a...

power loss problem - Q100+S06S+LCD+36V+pedal sensor

So I installed throttle, and rode 2.5 miles. I got much more confused now. If I cycle as normal, and power goes out, and I continue pedaling and turn on throttle, power stays off. LCD shows full charge, and motor speed of 0 mph. If I cycle without pedals, but with throttle, various things may...

power loss problem - Q100+S06S+LCD+36V+pedal sensor

Yes, I think I could hook up throttle. I guess I will be looking for whether there is a power loss while throttle is engaged, correct?

power loss problem - Q100+S06S+LCD+36V+pedal sensor

Hi. LCD does not black out, it works. I only have to stop pedalling for a second and start again. It takes little effort, but... I have to stop pedalling. Pedal sensor looks fine. I didn't have space for the magnet disc, so I took out magnets and glued them on the inner front sprocket. And...

power loss problem - Q100+S06S+LCD+36V+pedal sensor

Hi. I assembled a pretty much standard bike with S06S controller, Q100 rear motor and a 36V bottle battery from bmsbattery. The only connected things are LCD display and pedal sensor. Issue: sometimes while I pedal, motor stops working. LCD works fine. If I stop pedalling and start again...

    custom display for controller

Hi. I have a bike with a Q100 motor and S06S controller, hidden in a base of a standard bottle battery. I have a display like this: http://king-meter.de/images/download/bedienungsanleitung/KM-JLCD%201.pdf without which (shorting relevant wires) the motor works very weak. I would like, if at all...

    Questions about BMSbattery S06S controller

Is there any information on how LCD communicates with the controller? Is it possible to write an arduino program that would pretend to be an LCD? That would be awesome.

    Questions about BMSbattery S06S controller

Interesting. Thank you. Do you know whether these parameters are stored on the lcd or the controller? And what are proper P4 and P5 values for 36v q100 328rpm with standard bottle battery?

    Questions about BMSbattery S06S controller

Are there any other magic codes for S06S? Maybe there's some sort of a manual? I tried shorting the 1,2; 3,5 wires to make it work without a display, but it then works as if on level 1 assist - very weak, I had to put display back.

Cute Q100 lightweight builds slow mtb, fast road

you say, program a microprocessor... does anybody do that? is there some manual? can it be done with s06p/s06s? Soldering out a chip, modifying something like C code, flashing it, and soldering chip back looks doable...

Cute Q100 lightweight builds slow mtb, fast road

Is it possible to setup a controller for the high speed Q100 so that it turns on only after say 12mph, and stops if PAS is silent or brake is pulled? There would be no need for any controls/displays on the handlebars...
