    New adjustable charger from 10-90v!!

I was just browsing around looking at chargers for a new project and ran across this little guy: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001393437124.html?spm=a2g0o.placeorder.0.0.374a321eCHGlnV&mp=1 It seems too good to be true, especially for the price. Has anyone tried one of these before...

    E-foil Foil Wing Design Discussion

I think you are putting too much thought into this. On an efficient, high aspect ratio wing the amount of propulsion it actually takes is surprisingly low to maintain lift and speed. I would much rather worry about designing my foil for the dynamic handling characteristics for the given type...

    Hall Sensors'b'Gone

I may be interested in testing one out. I have been following this thread, and as luck would have it I recently burned up the Kelly controller in the bike I normally daily drive. I guess I pushed it too hard in the heat. I got about 8k miles out of it, though! :D Let me know, as I need to...

    verdict on mtb/moto tyres

When you live in a city and want to ride your bike to the trails and fun spots, it is unavoidable. We all have our own styles and places where different combos make sense. That is why I keep a garage full of bikes with different setups. 8) They last surprisingly (acceptably in my case)...

    verdict on mtb/moto tyres

I have one bike with a magic mary in front and SR244 rear. They work quite well together. The Magic Mary wears down considerably quicker at a rate of about 3 to 1 when you ride it on the street.

    Folding handlebars

That is great that they are working out so well. That is one heck of a little 'bike box' you have on your crane. Please keep us posted on how those bars hold up!

    Anti-bicyclist police are out there

From a social science standpoint this is fascinating. It is really easy to deliver the desired results from your data when you fundamentally affect how statistics are recorded. The 2018 headline will read "NYC has increased bicyclist and pedestrian safety by 50%!" LOL

Shiot, those look scary! I would take my first few rides with a full face helmet and some pads, hahaha

    JET BOARD PROJECT

...just when I thought 'poledancing' had all but died, there are some guys who bring foils into the mix to bring a small, fresh breath into the sport!

    EDF kiteboarding?

I have thought about this many times while sitting in the water on low wind days drifting towards somewhere I don't want to be and waiting for a good enough gust to relaunch my kite. I think the much better plan is to have a powered board so that you can generate apparent wind in the lulls...

regen voltage limit on infineon controller

Which controller do you have exactly? They are all similar, but there were a lot of variations over the years.

    HS3580 motor capabilities

Less than 3000 watts continuously has been my experience with the 35mm crystalyte motors. If you do much stop and go or slower speeds than 20mph, then I would say you are already at the level of melting one. Get some FF, vent the case, and get a temp sensor in there and it will significantly...

regen voltage limit on infineon controller

Almost all of them I have seen are factory setup for much lower regen voltages as you have probably found. You don't say what battery chemistry you intend to use, but they can be modified with resistors to support 80v+ regen. It has been years since I have done it, so I can't remember what...

    verdict on mtb/moto tyres

    1. 21 inch MC wheels and tires get way too heavy. Remember that with rotating and unsprung mass the physics are very different with adding that 15 extra pounds to your wheels than if it were your battery pack mounted on the frame. A really heavy MC wheel/tire/hub motor combo plays hell on...

    Kickstand for EEB type bike.

gotcha. Everyone's situation is a little different. If you take it on a ride for heavy offroad use, my recommendation would be remove the kickstand or ziptie it in place!

    Kickstand for EEB type bike.

If you are not momentarily propping it by the rear wheel against something or leaving it in your garage, then it should be locked via heavy cable to an object ideally strong enough to at least hold the bike up, LOL. It sounds like you are unaware how quickly a motorcycle will disappear into a...

    Only the poor want ebikes

I get interest from all walks of life. Unless they are familiar with high-end mountain bikes, most people are shocked (rich and poor) when they are bold enough to ask what these contraptions cost.
