Boosted Board turned into Aladdin's Magic Carpet

Hah that's great. Definitely better execution by Casey and Jesse though.

Boosted Board turned into Aladdin's Magic Carpet

His boosted board will pay for itself after this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqlrru1V69E Behind the scenes is here (it's essentially just one of Casey Neistat's many great vlogs).

Using "Gun"-style RC throttle? Might be issue with cops...

You could wrap an LED strip around it, which would make it look less like a gun. It would also be a great safety feature for riding when it is dark out.

    New build by a newbie!

I also highly recommend VESC, I bought a couple turnigy ones and now I realize it was a waste of $160 because they are horrible compared to VESC. The generic brand wheels (I originally got the 83mm blank pros) are usually a much harder urethane, which can be dangerous because instead of...

Teardown: 2 wheeled mini segway (IO HAWK, PhunkeeDuck, etc.)

Awesome! I grabbed the 1 wheeled version off Aliexpress recently (aka solowheel or airwheel). It is much much harder to ride (like 10x the learning curve) than the 2 wheeled one, but it can be used in the grass so it's great for riding around the yard. Also the 1 wheeled version is about $90...

Hovertrax by Inventist on kickstarter (+ other clones)

The cheapest price seems to be $310 on Aliexpress, see the link below. Aliexpress is really a gamble because if it breaks a month after buying it there is very little you can do...

10S custom skate ESC: testers wanted!

2-3x as big imo. Bigger problem is it would cost at least 2x as much to make.

Check my set-up please & thanks!

These are absolutely horrible if you care about having a smooth ride over older pavement, and they need to be filed down to fit the hub meant for flywheels. I highly recommend grabbing 76mm 78A Abec11 Flywheels for $60, since the 83mm ones are like $100.

    Electric Penny Board

If you decide you want a slightly larger board with a longer wheel base, I recommend getting this deck, chopping the nose off (removes 4.5 inches), and chopping a couple inches off the tail. The result is a deck similar to this compact board but with a usable kicktail.

    "Mini" Longboard - Little Board

You are using an arduino as the motor controller?

    5inch tires? Or longboard wheels?

Anyone know a cheaper source to get the alien drive type wheels in the US? Shipping is more than the wheels for me.

    First test drive--WOW...punch control level?

Mind posting a pic of your motor mounts bolted to the trucks?

    You guys heard of Benchwheel?

Is that the boosted copy? Looks like a nice portable board.

    You guys heard of Benchwheel?

What size are the wheels that come with it? They look like offbrand flywheels.

    VESC problem

Yep. It's pretty easy using virtualbox and a linux .iso file you download from a site like ubuntu.

WTB MBS Welded Mount and Welding Service

I'm looking for someone who I can send my MBS ATS truck to and have a welded motor mount welded on and sent back. I.e. I would buy a motor mount and welding service. There has been a lot of talk regarding clamp-on mounts for MBS trucks, but I guess I'm impatient, and my homemade mount is not...

    One esc and two motors

Where have you seen it before? It does not work with brushless DC motors.

10S custom skate ESC: testers wanted!

Just got my 10uf caps in. I was able to replace all of them except C43,C44,C49, because they are under the black wire and I don't want to remove it because it requires messing with the gigantic lump of solder that attaches it to multiple components. I'm only running at 6S, so should there be...

    You guys heard of Benchwheel?

Very nice, let us know how it is!

    You guys heard of Benchwheel?

Yeah seems like a good deal if it holds up, especially for people like me who cant weld and had to spend $150 on a motor mount alone.

Will these parts zoom, crawl, or go bang!

He meant kv. Read this tutorial to learn about kv http://www.flyelectric.com/ans.kv.html For a fun eboard you need good torque but also a high enough top speed, and you definitely won't get that with a $20 motor. Maybe post a pic of what you have already, like the motor mount already connected...
