Or, you could contact @Psychotiller. Check out this video of his supposed "Evolve Killer".

We have run the VESC's on 8 and 10s with 230 and 245kv motrs without an issue. It seems to me that the VESC's like 10s. Even on 8s I had to run a fan to keep the power from falling off from heat. On 6s the power would drop off quickly because of heat.(I know some people run on 6s fine...
I do not use one ,myself, but most people that have had one have told me that they eventually stopped working and stayed in the on position. I just use the anti-spark loop key. Where did you get your switch from?
Got the VESC yesterday. First look: Looks cheap. I'm not sure what kind of DRV is normally used but this has the Texas instruments logo on it. They also used vedders capacitor pcb with the three capacitors. The phase wires are only 16 gauge and the power wires are 12 gauge. They heat shrinked...
That sucks. Personally, at 6s, I'd rather use the FVT. Did you use @bandaro's firmware or @weechumlee's? I used @weechumlee's and that's the one that worked.
Eeew. I may have a different skate version than what is linked here. It worked fine but I don,t like it. But, if you can't connect to the USB your probably out of luck. :(
Are you going through the LCD program card or the USB link?
Welcome @mkoch820, I would advise against that particular ESC. I have had two of those. One went up in smoke and the other has to be configured every time you turn it on. If you still decide to go with that ESC someone here figured out that it does actually have a built in BEC.
Torque pretty much covered it. Would definitely recommend spacers for a pneumatic set up. I used spacers on a plastic Skike wheel and have had no issues. Just don't make them too long.
