    why is it hard to desolder and solder a phase wire

    Why is it so hard to desolder and solder a phase wire. Do I need a special solfering iron and special lead?? I am using my 90watts solder and its kinda hard to melt it down...and what coating do I need to reinsulate my stator windings.
