    IGBT Upgrade?

    Thanks Fechter - a pair of these run 400 amp welder. If I go on the welding forums, I'd get responses like take it to a shop or buy parts from the dealer. I can get the IGBT's for 25 USD a piece - if I go to the mfg, I'm looking at closer to 400 for a set. Cheers,

    LIPO Burr Grinder

    Its not a question of is it simple to do IE cordless drill, or cheap - IE 12v DC gear reduction.. More so just a chance to learn how the different parts work together, and learn something about ESC's and BLDC in the process. Thanks for the feedback.

    LIPO Burr Grinder

    Take a decent hand burr coffee grinder.. Retrofit small brushless motor/ESC/ESC-tester to control and a LIPO battery - Have the most high tech portable coffee grinder in the world.. Thoughts? Would any small RC motors have enough torque for direct drive?
