Battery xt90s loop key, - as switch on triangle battery

That's a good safety advice - thanks :) For now I will close my battery plugs with tape. I have had a hard time finding a connector that matches XT90s (solid+takes water splash+easy plug/unplug+high capacity+OK to solder+antispark) I have used Anderson and xt60, but they are not the same...

Just installed my xt90s loop key - works like a charm :D * Bike now only works with loop key plugged in * Lights (front and rear) come on automatically when I plug in the loop key * GPS tracker has power directly from the bike battery, also when loop key is out Simple and low cost I thank the...

Battery xt90s loop key, - as switch on triangle battery

Is there a reason why the loop key has to be the female plug? The battery side shall normally have the female plug, since this gives less risk that the plug by accident is shorted. Consequently, I would have thought that it would be the same when using an xt90s as loop key? I.e. on the wire...

    Warning: EBike battery in flames!

According to my friend it burned until he used the fire extinguisher. It was like fireworks. Seems like the aluminum frame might survive. I have built seven ebikes - this last one I helped a friend build of parts we ordered together from China - including 3 motors and 5 batteries. The motors...

    Warning: EBike battery in flames!

The 52v 14Ah battery I bought from, caught fire and burned. Also the battery did not deliver more than 9,5 Ah, less than the promised 14Ah. Actually, none of the low cost batteries I bought from China delivered the Ah's as promised. My next battery will come from someone who is known for...

    Warning: EBike battery in flames!

The battery suddenly caught fire after a few minutes riding :( I bought this 52V 14Ah Dolphin ebike battery No signs of damage or heating before it happened. Normally such fires are due to short circuit within the battery. However, the battery only delivered 9,5Ah and not the 14Ah as...
