switching from 9 speed to 11 speed on a keyde motor

Actually, it's not the increased range that I'm after, it's more the upgrade from Sora to 105. Because people say that Sora is no good. So The latest 105 is 5800, so I thought, why go for the older version. But the 5700 is actually more expensive than the 5800. Maybe because it's becoming less...

switching from 9 speed to 11 speed on a keyde motor

I hope I'm posting this in the right forum. So I want to buy the Reef/Annad bike, which is only available with the 2x9-speed Sora groupset (probably 3500) in Australia. If I buy it, I might want to upgrade it to the 105 2X11 5800 groupset. I went into a bike shop and they said something about...

Reef Invisitron - claims 11kg and 100km range

Well spotted, thanks. Would anybody be able to estimate the difference in weight and range between the 9.3 Ah and 10.2 Ah batteries?

Reef Invisitron - claims 11kg and 100km range

Sunder, thanks for your reply. I can see one used Sora group set on eBay. But what if my idea is to make a swap before I start riding. That would make the Sora brand new. I'm trying to understand the difference between the 5 Annad road ebikes (brochure attached), and I can see no difference...

Reef Invisitron - claims 11kg and 100km range

I have another question about the Invisitron. If I get one with Sora groupset and later want to change to 105, how much will it cost in parts and labour? Will I be able to sell a second-hand Sora groupset? Will changing from one to another be a straightforward process?

Reef Invisitron - claims 11kg and 100km range

Thank you guys for explaining. A lot of information to assimilate for a newbie -- need to brush up on physics. Another thing I'm trying to understand is this: if I am going fast on flat terrain or downhill, will a BBS mid drive motor assist me more that a keyde motor because the BBS motor is...

Reef Invisitron - claims 11kg and 100km range

What do you mean by "extremely problematic to measure such a small power level"? Does that relate to my question about policing the 250 W rule in Australia? And what do you mean "minimal amount of failures"? The keyde motor has failed a minimal amount of times? Actually, I'm confused. I...

Reef Invisitron - claims 11kg and 100km range

I have a question about the keyde motor offered by Chinese manufacturers on Alibaba. Apparently there's an option of 250W or 350W motor. I know that regulations in Australia don't allow more than 250W, but surely this can't be policed in any way, can it?

Reef Invisitron - claims 11kg and 100km range

I like that Annad comes with 105 and Ultegra, whereas the Reef comes with the Soro.

Reef Invisitron - claims 11kg and 100km range

Hi Sam, I was taken aback by the speed of your reply! I presume you're the same SamD who engaged Chris Rider on this thread. I would ideally go for a pre-made bike, because I know nothing about the subject. I'm located in Melbourne. By Kepler's, do you mean this...

Reef Invisitron - claims 11kg and 100km range

Hi everyone, I am an unsophisticated rider who wants a power-assisted road/race bike that looks and feels like a normal (non-power-assisted) bike. After years of discussion: 1. Has anybody been able to establish that beyond all the dodgy marketing practices, the Reef Invisitron is a fair bike...
