    Bafang BBSHD, 1000W, 68mm-120mm BB

    Isn't that in a peloton which negates most of the air resistance? Also, the previous poster was asking throttle only, not throttle plus pedals. I do agree if you add 1500 watts on top of insane pedalling, it's possible. Heck I believe TdF riders already top 40mph for short sprints.

    Bafang BBSHD, 1000W, 68mm-120mm BB

    My thinking is either they have the wrong setting for wheel circumference, their controller has been reprogrammed to allow a higher current, they are using a higher voltage, they have higher gearing, or a combination of any of the above. Every mph at the top end requires an enormous amount more...

    CA3 SLim->Max Speed and PLim->MaxCurrent not showing

    Thanks a lot for this! It could have been 23 instead of 19. I don't remember exactly. :-) Maybe someone just slipped on the keyboard when they configured the CA3. Ilia appears to be really close to me—I was cycling nearby there last week (on a regular cycle, the eBike conversion is the gf's)...

    CA3 SLim->Max Speed and PLim->MaxCurrent not showing

    This makes sense. However, how did I get it to this state? I don't even own a CA USB cable let alone have used one and the CA3 came set with the mask on (else I wouldn't have accidentally set AGain to 20 instead of AMax which is the first thing I did besides battery set up when I was just...

    CA3 SLim->Max Speed and PLim->MaxCurrent not showing

    I must have messed up some setting. For some reason, I cannot find the setting for SLim->Max Speed or PLim->MaxCurrent on my Cycle Analyst. The options for Speed Limits are Start Speed IntSGain PSGain DSGain and for Power Limits: AGain MaxPower WGain (The only other things not showing are...

    Torque Arm V2 mounting AND fenders?

    GrinTech support recommended that I install the TorqArm v2 on the opposite side of the motor wires and get a longer bolt and put the fender over the torque arm on the outside of the fork. In my case, it turns out the bolts used for the fenders were an extra half centimeter longer than necessary...

    Torque Arm V2 mounting AND fenders?

    Yeah that makes sense. The priority should be proper and secure mounting of the Torque Arms. The rest is cosmetic.

    Kickstand

    I have the same double-legged (single side) center-mount taiwanese adjustable kickstand (esge clone) as mentioned above: BV adjustable, foldable double-leg kickstand mounting bracket by Terry Chay, on Flickr However, my Canondale (aluminum) hybrid bicycle does not have a kickstand bracket...

    Bafang BBSHD, 1000W, 68mm-120mm BB

    Curious what other people's numbers are also, but some things to note: Probably should specify your gearing (replacing front with 52T front?), controller programming, and how you are measuring speed (Bafang's display has a limited number of wheel size settings). Also I don't see many (any?)...

    Torque Arm V2 mounting AND fenders?

    Yes I misread. I either didn't realize you wanted me to flip the fender on that side to use the backside of the fork euelet (or if that was even possible, I thought the fender stay might rub against the spokes), or I didn't realize the torqarm_v2 goes on the inside of the eyelet. I'll try it on...

    Torque Arm V2 mounting AND fenders?

    Thanks, there won't be a loss of pressure/twisting because I'm bolting it against the fender nut. Should I put another washer there or is what is in the kit good enough?

    Torque Arm V2 mounting AND fenders?

    Can Grin Tech's TorqArm_V2 be mounted when you have fenders already installed on the bicycle? It uses the fender eyelet as a mount point, but I'm wondering if they supply a bolt long enough to span both and if the positioning allows that to be possible—for instance, if a fender being there means...

    What kind of helmet do you use?

    I wear a Giro MTB helmet with visor which I probably should have replaced since it's been about 7 years. For the last 20 years, for commuting I've worn a MTB helmet with visor because I don't move fast enough to really feel comfortable on a road helmet (pedal-powered, not EV). From the above, I...

    New build next month

    There may be an option of putting a hidden wire brake sensor (HWBS) like on EM3EV.com and others. I think the idea is you attach it to the brake cable line in a part that is outside the housing and it looks for movement to send a signal to cut off the brakes. Does anyone have experience with...
