    BBS01B 36V 250W - trying with higher voltage [success]

Just to correct an error that might be very dangerous if a beginner reads your post: A 36V battery is a 10S system with 42V fully charged. RayGo1 probably uses a 12S system with a 43.2V battery (50.4V fully charged).

    BBS01B 36V 250W - trying with higher voltage [success]

Did we ever figure out what the highest "natural" voltage (when not using a Diode etc.) is so that the HVC error is NOT thrown? I am curious. Edit: on mine it's 44.4V.

Bafang BBS01 DPC14 Stuck on Startup Password

Yes I did and 1919 in the end my uncle did a mistake when trying to enter the advanced settings and set the password to 2919 while I was away so i didn't know he changed something - lucky me he decided to try a couple combinations and it worked. APT on the other hand was super unhelpful. I...

    BBS01B 36V 250W - trying with higher voltage [success]

In my display (850C) there is an option in the settings to switch between battery voltages. Would this already let me use the 36V motor on 14S without the diode?

Bafang BBS01 DPC14 Stuck on Startup Password

There might be a way. I found this post: https://electricbike.com/forum/forum/ask-lunacycle/ask-a-question/4567-new-luna-dpc14-color-display?p=65127#post65127 maybe a firmware update can indeed help reset this thing. Let's see if I can get a response from APT

Bafang BBS01 DPC14 Stuck on Startup Password

Would be an expensive solution at half the price of the full kit sadly. I was hoping for a way to update the firmware or something so that I can reset this thing to factory settings. But sure if there is no other way then that's what I'll have to do.

Bafang BBS01 DPC14 Stuck on Startup Password

Hi guys, it's been a while since I have last posted on here but I need your help with my new Bafang motor. I bought a Kit brand new from China with a DPC14 (some call it 850C) display unit. After riding it a couple of times I ordered a USB cable to tune the settings and used the pentoff tool to...

Kepler Friction drive comes of age.

Did you use a 4.12 VESC oder a VESCX? FOC? FOC is known to cause DRV errors on 4.12 hardware - the only way to circumvent this is to either go VESCX or the new (way more expensive) VESC6. At 7S your 330kv motor also caused 7*4.2*7*330=67914 ERPM which is more than what the VESC is capable of...

    Mixing LIPO and 18650 6S

That is wrong - 18650 cells charge to the same 4.2V as Lipo puch packs. The much more important difference is discharge voltage. Liion can be discharged to ~2.5V while Lipo should not be discharged below 3.2V. As long as you keep the entire set between 4.2 and 3.2V you should be fine though.

    5" or 6" pneumatic wheels.

Yeah second page - some wheels from ebay. They are still listed and the "reviews" of buyers are all positive. So I was wondering what happened in this case that he wants people to not try them themselves. They also look very similar to the ones we were talking about on the builders forum.

JP spot-welder, FET-switched, timed adj. pulse

Not sure what you mean by all that. I build the standard version like in the instructable with the parts Kptn Balu listed from Reichelt. Then I added the TVS and Schottky dioded like discussed in this thread. I have no idea about what capacitors you are talking about and also don't understand...

DIY Arduino timed spot-welder, FET-switched, adj. pulse

I used the diodes that flangefrog recommended in this post due to me ordering from reichelt in Germany (they did not have the originally recommended ones) https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=81400&start=550#p1219916 He also said I used three 1N6275A and two MBR 4045PT...

DIY Arduino timed spot-welder, FET-switched, adj. pulse

Here are some pictures. The Nano works still perfectly fine after removing the schottky. I removed it and was able to spot weld my first 4S2P Liion pack fpr my electric drill. With the schottky attached the Arduino did not just stop responding but the weld was also a lot weaker than without. But...

DIY Arduino timed spot-welder, FET-switched, adj. pulse

Just finished my spot welder and found a problem: My arduino freezes when I use it together with the schottky diode. The status LED does not turn off anymore, the LCD digits stop alternating and no further pulses can be fired. A reboot fixes it until the next pulse. Without schottky everything...

JP spot-welder, FET-switched, timed adj. pulse

Sorry if I am being off-topic - if so please let me know where I can find the right thread for my question. Basically I just finished my KaeptnBalu Arduino spot welder and made some stupid mistakes while assembling. Long story short: I need to replace the 4 mosfet drivers. I was searching the...

Turn hand controller off and the motor starts up

You need to do the fail safe binding. Depending on the remote there are various ways this is done. GT2B has a fail safe button that needs to be pressed on the receiver when throttle is neutral. With the winning mini remote you need to pull the plug after calibration while the ESC is still on to...

    EBoard Mosfet Switch

You do know that Vedder has an open source anti spark on his github? Why did you reinvent the wheel for a switch when there is an already proven design publicly available? I don't get what your switch does better.

    5" or 6" pneumatic wheels.

Wow nice work. However in my case I don't have the tools (or time or money) to actually get something like your axle adapter made. The sleeve nut thing would have been an easy solution but I am unsure about the tolerances for the bearings and nut so removing a 1cm from the rim is probably even...

    5" or 6" pneumatic wheels.

Hey beetbocks, I just bought some skike 5" wheels and am now thinking about how to mount them on my caliber trucks. The obvious option is to use a lathe and remove 1cm of the rim - just like you did it. However I was wondering if you ever thought about using a sleeve nut and different...
