    I tried with an extractor but that broke off in the drilled out bolt. I can also burn the extractor/bolt out with tap burner at work, but I'm not sure the process is safe for the motor. I've read that carbide tooling should also work.

    How did you get around those situations? I don't like it, but everything I've read says 5 bolts on the rotor is fine. This is a speed pedelec, but only the rear wheel.

    I don't know the quality of the spokes, but they held up for over 2000 miles on not the best of streets. I guess I will tighten them more then.     I took the wheel out and noticed this. The bike company responded that it's likely just lack of lubrication on the rubber seal. Probably compounded by the seal not being seated properly too.

    It's that squealing noise that I can hear at low speeds. It's not the same sound as when the motor is engaged (gears whirring). There is some disc rub (rotor a bit warped), but that is distinctively different noise.
