Rear hub motor off roading- is it waterproof?

Cheers lads Was just worried after a freshly built bike I'd take it to its first off road adventure and come back needing a new rear hub motor. I'm not talking about going through huge puddles and jumping off cliffs but didn't want to get to a muddy section and have to get off and walk round...

Have found a massive bargain. What you think UK members?

In the UK things get very expensive. You guys in the US get all the better deals I'm reluctant but then I'm thinking go for it. It's the cheapest I've found but a long shot. Says motor efficiency is 80% seems a lot lower than other sites. Will that be a problem?

Cheap lipo power, range not a huge problem

Have just found these 2 of them be enough juice for few miles. Then at later date buy another 2 so I have 4 all together. It says 13000mah so is that 13ah? So 4 would be 12s26ah with a 35amp discharge or is that then 70 as it's doubled? Or are those battery specs a little bit boasted? Cheers

That is very true. Am swinging to towards mounting on a 26" wheel mtb. Top end would be better than the 20" bmx Thinking with the above 1500 watt kit and 35-40a controller I could use two of these to power it Would that be enough power at an average of 20 mph with few blasts of full throttle...

Cheap lipo power, range not a huge problem

Hi buddy thanks for the reply again 40mph would be top speed. Cruising would probably be 20 or less. So a 1000 watt 48 volt kit running the two mentioned lipos above would work OK.? I doubt I'll ever need 40mph but would love to have that option You don't need a Ferrari living in London...
