Has anyone actually used a 3x3 Nine or Revolute IGH (with or without a mid-motor)?

I have two Kindernay hubs and they've been excellent. They don't shift underload, but they're buttery smooth shifting with no play between gears. I have one mated to a CYC Photon and one on a non e-bike.

Has anyone actually used a 3x3 Nine or Revolute IGH (with or without a mid-motor)?

This could be bc of me, but there were reports of other failures as well - a guy in NYC had one on a cargo bike that failed according to my vendor. Mine failed as well at full throttle on a hill. They replaced mine at cost, and I don't use throttle anymore on that bike. I rarely do on any of...

Has anyone actually used a 3x3 Nine or Revolute IGH (with or without a mid-motor)?

I have a 3x3 Nine hub mated to a CYC X1 Pro Gen 4. I ran 4500 watts of power through it for about 2 miles, crashed, then decided to limit it to PAS only. It's great a set up. I built the wheel myself, and I had not trued it in the video yet...don't mind the wobble.

It is. I ordered it from an online vendor in the UK. The mounting brackets do no interfere at all with the concentric bottom bracket - I was worried that it would. I haven't weighed it yet, but it feels just slighly heavier than my old full suss mtb even with the steel frame and motor...

^Agreed! Not the best pic, but I finally got it mounted. I just finished building my battery so once I get the rest set up I will be providing a better update. In the mean time here is a pretty terrible picture of it mounted.

So, from the pictures it looks as if you can add halls sensors to the Astro Motors? I think I remember reading something that said the Astro Motors used to be made with them already installed? I ask bc I'm wondering if adding them would help with the start up torque issue the Phaserunner has...

One thought on the FW/Crankset/BB dilemma. I have run White Industries on all my previous bicycles as much as I could because they make great stuff and look good doing it. I was surprised to see them in the ebike scene when I first jumped in, but I am glad they're here. So with that said, what...

Haha, nope! May need to look at getting a Domino throttle from you.

Thanks! It's a Velo Orange elkskin saddle. Not sure, but I think I'm going PAS (Thun) or both. I can do both right (imma big noob)? I went with 3215 and Phaserunner (that's it just behind the saddle), and plan on running 72v pack from Luna. 24 x 2.8 wheel/tires and Shimano Nexus 3 IGH. I run a...

Can't wait to see the finished product. I'm looking at this new PAS 3Kw kit as a one motor for both my bikes kit - a commuter and full sussed MTB. I would really like to see the THUN sensor in an ISIS bottom bracket. Also, would love to see a "quick disconnect" for the motor from the...
