    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

Hi! I noticed quite a few updates for 860c and standard display, but I can not find any updates for LCD3. It is same release from February. Am I looking in the wrong place? I am talking about motor + display code not just display. Thanks!

    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

Hi Mbrusa, I am glad we are on the same page with the consumption wh and we have a scientific explanation :). I was thinking of a workaround by lowering the battery capacity declared in battery menu, but if you have a fix even better. Regarding the heat, I feel a correct tradeoff because of the...

LCD 3 TEST Ok, I did a full charge and reset all the counters. I feels like most of the params are modified around 15-20%. Temperature is 20% higher, the motor power felt at pedaling is 15% more and the battery range is aprox 100wh less. (530wh instead of 630wh) I use most of the time higher...

    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

Thank you for the clear explanation. The procedure explained is exactly what I use for more than 2 years. I will redo de calibration and come with the results. Just that my battery is 48v/17ah so aprox 816Wh. The real measured value by checking the consumed watts is 630Wh on 0.20.beta1. I hope...

    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

I am not sure what you mean by SOC %. Is it odo field or battery segments? If I set the Wh in menu 1, the battery percentage from odo field is obtained by subtracting the consumed wh for the total wh. And so the percent is wrong because the consumed wh are wrong. For the battery segments i know...

    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

I use the validated real battery capacity in WH = 630, inserted in battery menu. It worked fine and the precision is to the procent. Indeed the battery state in the left corner seems to be Voltage rated, but has also internal resistance set as well (130). I think that the Voltage difference that...

    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

I did a test of 40km on LCD3. I used simple power mode with no boost just basic. I tried to put the motor to stress by keeping it for a while between 40-50 km/h with a top speed of 53, on flat with standard 42 gear. Motor feels definitely more powerful at higher cadence since it was not...

    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

Hello, Regarding the temperature raise, it is possible that there is one in identical conditions (no boost, same power reading, basically the same). I have to make some good tests to have a clear conclusion. I will also test mspider v7 from temp point of view. @Andreea You could try the simple...

    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

The parameter has a default value, most probably what the dev has on his bike. In my case I have a 48v 17ah battery. The real value measured by the soft is 640WH < 816WH ideally. If I set the correct value i have accuracy of 1%, so I never get battery dead in the middle of the trail.

    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

Hi Ken, Battery wats are actually watt hour, because they mean battery capacity. 48 V* 11 Ah = 530 Wh In real conditions this is smaller so you can use 500. But if you want to be accurate you should check the battery menu for consumed wh when battery is empty and put that exact value. Regards!

Hi all, I was not active for a while and noticed some of the issues raised. For hardware calibration you can use this guide. It contains a lot of pictures and problems with solutions. https://github.com/bbeschea/TSDZ2_wiki/wiki/Torque-sensor-hardware-calibration Also noticed quite some bad...

Hi mbrusa, How should we proceed for LCD3? Use same binary or can you update the LCD3 project code and release page? I could make a pull req, but for one liner is more hassle.

Ciao Mbrusa! I tested the version a bit and I can confirm it is a more responsive than v7 that I was using. In order to have a correct comparison I tested in same conditions. No startup boost and not assist with no pedal rotation. The motor engages quick and I see not point of using those...

    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

Hello, I read the wiki and I have some points unclear. 1. How can you select one of the assist modes and how to select hybrid mode? Previous version had the modes mutually exclusive so when one is active the other are not. Now the values are used for other features like startup boost. 2. How...

    TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

This is indeed great news! :) V7 from mspider has a lot of optimizations and code cleanup. You have taken it one step forward by adding more features and made compatibility with all the displays. I think all the community is grateful for this effort and respects what you have done for us. I...

    TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

Hi Jbalat, Thanks for the honest feedback. This is why we are a community. My point here was to have an alternative to the v1.0 and the Bluetooth one. I have ridden 0.20.0 for 1.5 years and I feel this release like a step forward. I need to have a very efficient motor soft, not fancy...

    TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

(!) Important to know (!) The LCD menu is not clean yet so DO NOT use features like: - advance cadence and advance cadence calibration (it is already advance in standard with no needed calibration)

    TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

Hello, Today it was sunny and 10 C so I was able to do a test of 10 km. I checked power mode and emtb mode on various assist levels. Also the parameters like temperature, cadence, speed, current, pedal weight look good. I am quite happy with this release so far. The motor power is delivered...

    TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

SO far I found 2 visual problems on the display on battery SOC (bar) and temperature field blinking. They should be fixed now. I made a ride of 1 km on power mode and apart from the 2 above all is ok. I plan to make a release for public testing by the end of the week, to test a bit more.

    TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

Hello! I started working on adding the functionalities developed by mspider65, to the 0.20.0 developed by Leon. I spent some time understanding the new code and I think the results will be quite good. The code is very well optimized and the good part is that the modifications to the display...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi, By calibration hardware I mean the process in which the torque sensor range is increased significantly versus stock. Usually the torque sensor can measure up to 260 torque units. If it starts from 180, the whole range is 80 units. If you manage to align the magnets and the sensors correct...
