New Dual Motor 10S VESC Build

Looks great! How is the power / speed with those banggood motors? That is a good price. Where did you get the enclosure manufactured? Cheers.

    AWD e-Drift Trike

Nice! @tahitiboob The frame looks great. Did you build that from scratch? Where are the batteries? What size motor? And how much power are you sending it for 45kmh?

    AWD e-Drift Trike

Quick update. Got the motor and controller ordered last night. Now I wait... So turning my attention to the modular battery pack design. The frame is now rolling and looks like a beast with all that tire on the back. Good thing I'm putting PVC on them because it's basically a drag trike right...

    AWD e-Drift Trike

OK I think its time to start a build blog... First, this is a project I wanted to take on, to learn more about electric vehicles / bikes and challenge my mechanical engineering abilities. (Super glad I found this forum!) So one of the goals is to do as much as possible myself, with-in reason...

    QS 3000w midmotor

Currently working with QS sales to order just the QS 1000w 90 motor without the swing arm for my Drift Trike project. There is not a lot of information I could find on this motor unlike it's bigger cousins so I thought I'd share the info I received from the manufacturer... 1. The net weight of...

Help. Need BLDC Linamar motor specs

I heard back from the manufacturer and got these simple details about the "motor". Supply voltage 24V nominal. Current limit 55A Low battery cutout voltage 20.5V I suspect this is more the stats for the controller, but it helps ballpark the motors power output.

E-Drift trike motor. (Help me decide)

Do you know if this is the Kun Ray motor or just looks like it. Do I have to worry about clones if I find it at another shop for less? My 18650 cell and nickel purchasing has me on edge...

E-Drift trike motor. (Help me decide)

Awesome thanks! Though the 2k is a great price but it will be hard to not go with the 3k one... :) That thread has some really good info and answers my questions about these can motors vs the RC outrunners that was a little confusing...

E-Drift trike motor. (Help me decide)

Thanks for the reply. I saw that mobility trike and it's awesome :) I had considered a Hub motor and it would certainly be a bit easier but I'm more interested in pushing the trike for powered drifts rather than pulling. Like this one https://youtu.be/EjDEZVBTTXQ The other part is I would like...

E-Drift trike motor. (Help me decide)

Working on my first rideable e-build (Plenty of RC planes, cars from scratch) and would like some advice on my Drift Trike project... I've done way too much research and have talked my self in circles on the motor choice and "needed" power range. I don't need crazy speed like 100kmh (40-50kmh...

Help. Need BLDC Linamar motor specs

(Sorry if this not the proper place for post like these) I have an old BLDC motor (Linamar M13) from a Solaris lawn mower that I'm salvaging and can't find any specifications online. Does anyone have any familiarity with these motors? Or would it be possible to determine the wattage and...
