New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I'm having a problem with my motor, I can often rotate the pedal a quarter of a turn before it feels any resistance also if I push down hard it feels like something inside the motor is turning or slipping without the gear moving. Is this the sprag clutch failing?

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Is anyone having any trouble with the light function with an SW102 controller? This used to work on an older version but over the summer I upgraded to the latest version and haven't used them. Now when I turn on the lights the power to the motor cuts out.

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I have spliced into the rear lights for this purpose however it was to power a couple of super cheap fairy lights for my cargo bike. It works but I definitely wouldn't charge my phone from this connection. Step down converters for the battery voltage are cheap plus will be more suited as you...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Yes it has a big impact on the speed. I've looked at hub gears and I'd like to try the cheaper option of switching chain rings first as my current rear wheel is 48H and no hub gear is close to that number. The current rear wheel is probably over built but it is also a big hassle to change the...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Typically we're going more like 20mph as it is very flat here. Often I'm spinning out and can't go faster (not that I want to it's a perfect speed most of the time)

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Does anyone have any recommendations for bigger chain rings (available in the UK)? I'd like to swap out the default one for something larger as I find I spend all my time in the 11t cog at the rear and it wears out in about 800 miles as I have a heavy cargo bike usually riding with my two kids.

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

That's interesting. I also noticed that PSWPower sell extensions for the Bafang connector. I might splice the motor cable with the female end of that thus keeping the original display intact.

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

What are users of the OSF software doing about their display cables with the alternative displays not using the same connectors as the original? Are you cutting the connector off the original display and soldering that to the new display or is there an option to put a connector compatible with...

It looks like Strava is dropping support for Bluetooth devices which is a bit of a bummer now that this project was so close to supporting it

Bafang SW102 Bluetooth LCD - OpenSource firmware and mobile app

eyebysickle are you planning on selling your units? I am in the UK and keen to try this out and would prefer to test with a unit known to have a high chance of working without opening up the unit.

Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

The disable street mode option didn't work for me either. In power level 1 press the light button twice it should say E04 on the screen for off-road mode. Press it again twice and get E03 for street mode

Bafang SW102 Bluetooth LCD - OpenSource firmware and mobile app

The drift will not be constant either on the unit or between units so you won't be able to correct for it. If it was possible to do this drift would not be a problem. That said this is a bike computer a little drift is not a big issue and it can be corrected manually or automatically with the...
