    Another 36V Li-ion Battery : BOSCH !!

Guilty as charged! Big Laurel & Hardy fan when I was little. It's the sla pack. Something tells me I damaged it when I reversed the one battery. I only used them 5 times, but they were kept charged, guess I'll turn them in. I'll have to look up the link for testing just the motor before I go...

    Another 36V Li-ion Battery : BOSCH !!

Well, it's another fine mess I'm in, apparently when I cross wired the batt, the damage was not limited to the controller, even though they show 11.5-12 volts, the plastic casings are showing suspicious signs of swelling, and when I hooked up the new controller today, even though the battery...

    Another 36V Li-ion Battery : BOSCH !!

You were right, these ARE big. Nice set though, wish I'd bought two sets, then I'd have chargers on both ends, a I could have resold just the drill & case. I'm going to keep my eyes open for another combo pack as well, around Christmas the sales are HOT. I saw one for $179. buyitnow on...

    Another 36V Li-ion Battery : BOSCH !!

Let us know how much you might want for what you have. I'm going to sell that other controller I bought, 72 /1000, decided I had neither the time nor energy to convert the hall sensors! If I get ANY decent offer, it's gone. After all, I've only got 65 bucks in it. I ordered another wilderness...

I bought 2 of these with a hammer drill & charger for $210. from dpatricktools, he has a make an offer option, guess I should have tried a lower one! I'll probably just try them in parallel for now, try to find a deal on 2 more. Wish I'd known about that cash back Day sooner!

    Milwaukee batts?

So... are the Milwaukee lithium 28 volts a good fit, or bad idea? I've been looking at these too, mainly because they offer a low cost connector option, but I don't want something I have to bastardize, I need to leave them intact for warranty & tool use.

    Another 36V Li-ion Battery : BOSCH !!

They make a shallow box similar to that also, I use them in mobile homes a lot, Yes please let let know how you do it, I really appreciate it. Got the new controller, just trying to find connectors now so I can make adapter plugs. I don't want to modify existing in case I need to return it or...

    Another 36V Li-ion Battery : BOSCH !!

All we really need is the replacement part for the bottom of the flashlight, which I'm betting I can get at my favorite Bosch/Dewalt/Black& Decker dealer.

    Another 36V Li-ion Battery : BOSCH !!

The toolbarn has the flashlights for 36 volts for $44., but a lot of people buy the combo set, with 2 batteries, cut the flashlights up for mounts, sell the drills, etc., separately on ebay, and they go HIGH. Of course a lot of batteries come with end cap plastic covers, you could bastardize...

    Another 36V Li-ion Battery : BOSCH !!

No problemo. You were right about the undercurrent protection, its "Under Voltage Protection: 62 Volts", (sigh). NOW what? Maybe I can trade someone for a smaller used one that wants to upgrade... How many bosch 36 volt batts would I need to keep it safe? I only ride it 5 miles each way...

THIS guy on you tube shows a great pack with slide in mounts, no mods to batts whatsoever, check it out, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDNHntWYhEI Need to know how he does the controller connections though, & how the pack is made.

    Another 36V Li-ion Battery : BOSCH !!

I will definitely email him and check on it, didn't think of that! I would really like to switch to bosch 36 volt, using the stock charger, so I'm most interested in the design mods using those, figure I can build it over the winter, an add to my "stash" of batteries. I like the fact they don't...

    Another 36V Li-ion Battery : BOSCH !!

Oh, and I'm on a budget, so no Lifepo, Have to keep it under $250., plus need to be able to use whatever I buy for other things, and tools are a tax writeoff! Would like to hit 20mph if possible, I make it to work in 15 minutes now, 4 miles, more or less. That Diamond Stiletto is a sexy ride!

    Another 36V Li-ion Battery : BOSCH !!

I posted a pic above, its a 36 volt SLA wilderness brushless kit, top speed now is around 12-14 mph, don't really know for sure because I don't have the speedometer mounted. I dropped one of my sla's moving the pack, got distracted by company & cross wired one of the batts, so the controller is...

    Another 36V Li-ion Battery : BOSCH !!

64ragtop, how did you get them so cheap? It says $79., for just one batt! TylerDuran, thanks for clarifying, I'm definitely planning on charging them separately. Wanna use 'em in my tools too, so I need a fast charging battery or it wouldn't work. I'm using sla's now, 36 volts, 12Ah, how much...

    Another 36V Li-ion Battery : BOSCH !!

Well, DUH! I MEANT by tearing them apart & adding others. I do do electrical, just not DC. BTW, I'd actually like a 36 volt pack, because I'm only going 5 miles each way, but I need more speed, and I'm particularly interested in a way to use the packs with minimal alteration, like the ones...
