Total headless mode for BaseRunner? (No display, POS sensor or torque sensor)

I did my victory dance a little too early. I'm not able to get a proper output from the throttle. It still maxes out around 1.2 to 1.3 V; which is barely a 2-5° twist and the motor reaches the maximum speed. Just a slight touch and the motor starts softly, until I twist a bit more and it shoots...

Total headless mode for BaseRunner? (No display, POS sensor or torque sensor)

There you go!! That did it. I shorted the Blue ebrake to the throttle Green signal and I have a functional throttle. Motor spins up slowly and gradually but achieves the max speed at only 1.3V of throttle signal(by twisting the throttle ever so slightly); so I need to adjust parameters in the...

Total headless mode for BaseRunner? (No display, POS sensor or torque sensor)

So I finally have results after measuring with a multimeter. When I connect only the throttle; my voltmeter reads ~0.85V between the Signal and Ground. It reads ~4.7V between ground and +ve. When I move the throttle; the signal and ground starts going up from 0.8V to ~4.5-4.7V; which I believe...

Total headless mode for BaseRunner? (No display, POS sensor or torque sensor)

Thanks for the input; I might have to try with a multimeter afterall. About the controller being fried; I don't believe that happened because the motor still spins upon engaging brakes(while ebrake pin is connected as per the diagram) and I could run all the tests with the phaserunner suite...

Total headless mode for BaseRunner? (No display, POS sensor or torque sensor)

I'm currently running a baserunner system on my standard moped style e-bike. I'm running it in headless mode and I have made the connections as per the diagram below. The issue is that I thought that e-brake is the motor cut off that you use with your brakes; so I hooked up the e-brake as per...

    XLD Brainpower motor controller XunLiDa

Not sure about the regen braking, I have yet to figure that out. About the speed controls, yes. If you short all 3 - low speed; leave everything disconnected - medium speed and keep the two cable connected- max speed. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Tapatalk

    Voilamart bldc

Is it for the stock controller? It's pretty much as the manual says, match the same colored wires and you are good to go. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Tapatalk

    Motor Vibration/rattling sound

Luckily I was able to return both the batteries. I now have one from UPP which holds up pretty well as per the specifications and provides ample power to the motor. Motor is fine, I can easily hit ~35mph speeds and I get around 10-12 miles of range. Just that, I miss the silent(just a slight...

    Motor Vibration/rattling sound

Well it still makes that noise with the stock controller, the after market (XLD) controller is working fine now, atleast to the point I can ride my bike easily for daily commute. Although the sound is just stuck and my motor is no more silent. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Tapatalk

    Motor Vibration/rattling sound

I bought a Voilamart 500w front kit setup and a cheap 20Ah Blue chinese battery. Since the start, motor was very quiet and just gave out a whiny sound, I can reach 24mph top speed with a decent acceleration from the blue chinese battery. Although, the range was somewhere around 6 miles max and...

    XLD Brainpower motor controller XunLiDa

Hi! I had the same ignition pin confusion; after connecting the orange cable to battery +ve, the motor does turn on. But as soon as I accelerate, the motor makes weird kind of vibration sounds and the wheel does spin fully but I'm not sure about this vibration. The battery wires and the motor...

Battery vs controller vs motor rating limitations

https://www.ebay.com/itm/163943339328 What do you think about this battery? I read Lifepo4 are somewhat better. Also it's within my budget (~$200). Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Tapatalk

Battery vs controller vs motor rating limitations

That makes sense. This clears out a lot for me. I was skeptical but still went through with this battery but Good that I can still return it. Any recommendations on a good 36V battery? Also should I be looking at constant discharge rate of battery or the max discharge? Few good Hailong...

Battery vs controller vs motor rating limitations

So I have a few questions with my ebike build. I bought the 500w voilamart conversion kit off ebay, 36V 20Ah blue battery off ebay too. From initial tests, I'm getting a top speed of 24mph(throttle only) for first 10minutes after charge and then it drops to 20mph consistent. After 8-10miles of...
