Cyc x1 pro and stealth gen 3 announced

I installed the original Stealth Aug/Sept 2022 with a new 52V Samsung 40T 8ah battery, new KMC X9 chain and 5 new individual 9 spd sprockets on a single speed rear hub and new shifter cables. To this day, nothing has been changed except the four M3x12mm bolts holding the chain guard. Bike is...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Don't have tools to measure but the original is bigger (circumference) when it is removed, it is stretched and doesn't fit back into the grove as there is extra o-ring. The diameter of the replacement fits the groove. These o-rings fit perfectly and the material is better quality than the...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I bought them from a local shop and don't have the invoice anymore. The catch was I had to buy a packet of 10. The original seal won't fit back into the groove because it's stretched. The seal on the far right is the original.

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

You won't be able to get the old one to fit without it falling out. I replaced the original with a viton seal. Perfect fit and no problems. $5 and I can send you one.

    CYC PHOTON

I've done the opposite. I've removed the throttle and disabled to throttle sensor in the app to keep installation and handlebars clean. Using stock settings and pedal assist only in Race Mode (level 1), for commuting in my area (undulating hills, nothing steep), I can get over 30 miles (50...

Cyc x1 pro and stealth gen 3 announced

Reading comments you would think the noise is so loud it renders the motor useless. After 400 miles with my X1 Stealth, yes the motor/final drive is noisy compared with other offerings, but you get used to it. Life is a trade-off. This new Gen 3 looks improved in all the right areas (i.e. 2...

    CYC X1 Stealth (NEW)

There is a huge backlog (3 months) on ocean freight shipping. Due to the scam-demic, many National Postal outlets have stopped shipping via airmail to many countries so surface shipping can be the only option. Hong Kong is an example where the Postal Office is not shipping airmail to many...

Geared Hub Motor + Thru axle ?

Amazon is also an e-commerce platform where I am (3rd party products...no warranty from Amazon). Anyway, what you're asking for should be easy enough right? So the question is, why can't you find a reliable BMS in the West. Why blame China? World Bank and others consider it a developing...

Please help with "Not made in china" Ebike conversion

Australian news is as bad as American media. Pure propaganda. War can only happen if normal citizens are brainwashed. This exchange is meant to educate so people hear both sides of the story. Anyway, ALL wars are bankers wars. Here is an analysis of your Australian 60 minutes video...

Please help with "Not made in china" Ebike conversion

How exactly is China destroying Uyghurs? You are just repeating propaganda. Why the concern for Uyghur's? Homeless Americans need your help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rF7qDVBi0rc&t=26s The facts are for everyone to see. Natives in the US and Canada, Aborigines in Australia, there...

Please help with "Not made in china" Ebike conversion

Web searches are useless....heavy censorship in the West. You have to see things with your own eyes. Have you been to China? As an American, have you been anywhere outside of the USA? Anyway, back on topic.....buying from China is fine. It's the global manufacturer. Many Western companies...

Please help with "Not made in china" Ebike conversion

I was there in 2007, 2015, 2018 and 2019...Urumqi, Karamay, Hami... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oKvulTU8oU I don't know what human rights abuses you are talking about. No such thing. Look at Australia if care about human rights. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsB5yymbKXc

Geared Hub Motor + Thru axle ?

As you say, it requires capital investment. Regardless, expensive (Maxon) or inexpensive (Chinese mid drives) both have capital investment so they both have to recoup costs and make a profit. If your "wish" was so easy, the market would be flooded. Amazon, AliExpress are just e-commerce...

Save yourself the $50 and de-program yourself from the Western propaganda....and yes, I have been to Tibet, Xinjiang and it is NOT what you think. https://thegrayzone.com/2021/02/18/us-media-reports-chinese-genocide-relied-on-fraudulent-far-right-researcher/...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Worth mentioning again...but when you "power up" the motor, make sure you don't have your feet on the pedals/cranks. The torque sensor needs to have zero pressure to calibrate and function properly. This needs to be done every time you power on/off.

    Ebike touring and camping

These "do it yourself" hub/mid drive motors are NOT DESIGNED for ebike touring with a heavy camping load. I don't know how much overland touring bike experience you have but even a regular bike/drive train will require service and parts replaced during a tour. There are bombproof drivetrains...

    ?s for CYC X1 and/or Stealth owners

Can't answer your question regarding Pro or Stealth (I am buying Stealth as my needs are similar to yours) but I can recommend getting the DT Swiss 350 "Hybrid" hubs instead of the standard version 350. A few bucks more but they are built a little more robust to handle e-bike torque.

The TSDZ2 works (pedal assist) even if you don't connect the speed sensor. Try the motor with the speed sensor disconnected.

    CYC X1 Stealth (NEW)

New to this forum. Currently using TSDZ2 and looking to upgrade to a CYC Stealth. Besides ground clearance, can anyone explain the pros/cons between the drive options; 11/53 with 32T chainring and the 11/63 with 38T chainring? My current bike is using a 42T chainring and this works very well...
