    Cycle Analyst V3 on a Cyclone mid-drive

For anyone still wondering how to wire up the Cycle Analyst up in the most basic way to solve the Cyclone 3KW throttle deadzone problem... I attached the v+ and v- from the 6 pin connector onto the positive and negative wires of main battery lead for the cyclone controller, and the ThO wire...

48v Adjustable (97% 90% 80% and storage charge) (1AMP to 3.9AMP) Fanless waterproof ebike charger £50 Probably the best quality charger for the price

I'm making them. Just in small numbers. The Cheapest 54V version suitable for 52V Li-ion batteries was £46 and it was only 40W Mean Well HLG-40H-54B, Constant Voltage Dimmable LED Driver 40.5W 54V 0.75A | eBay If you can spend some time to find a cheaper and higher wattage one from...

48v Adjustable (97% 90% 80% and storage charge) (1AMP to 3.9AMP) Fanless waterproof ebike charger £50 Probably the best quality charger for the price

Bump, also to test the theory I left a spare battery hooked up to this for a week in the barbecue outside and the battery never exceeded the 53.98v the charger can output.

48v Adjustable (97% 90% 80% and storage charge) (1AMP to 3.9AMP) Fanless waterproof ebike charger £50 Probably the best quality charger for the price

The max voltage output you can set is 53.98v, slightly below the max charge voltage of 54.60v for a 13s 18650 li-on battery pack So as mentioned the current drops to zero and is incapable of raising the voltage any further, so it's as good as closed. (Voltage also confirmed with multimeter)

Yeah, to be fair you fellas on the forum gave me the idea, folks are having a lot of issues with the chinese specials and there's not much in the way of good charger options so thought I'd give something back to the community 👍

48v Adjustable (97% 90% 80% and storage charge) (1AMP to 3.9AMP) Fanless waterproof ebike charger £50 Probably the best quality charger for the price

I went looking for a dependable quality charger for a good price a while back and couldn't find anything suitable as discussed here, Link: Please help find the elusive ebike charger So I made my own.... Just thought other folks might want them too so I've started assembling them to a high...

    Ebike spotting in Europe

I'm starting to notice Ebikes too here in North Wales UK, maybe 1 in 20 bikes that I see.

What is your watt usage at 15 mph?

You know, I saw something just like that. Page 56 of the Cyclone thread

What is your watt usage at 15 mph?

Ahh that makes sense now, I'm measuring a pure motor reading with no pedaling input whatsoever to get 250w at 15mph My power usage goes down to around 100w as well if I add a token amount of pedalling.

What is your watt usage at 15 mph?

Around 250 watts seems the baseline for 15mph with 160KG with an upright posture on a Mountain Bike I actually couldn't get any motor to draw much less using the Grin Technologies simulator here...

What is your watt usage at 15 mph?

Oh here's a pretty cool video, that probably explains why Ebike regen braking is underwhelming and is mostly a gimmick, because I'm pretty sure that no ebike controllers do anything that is mentioned here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Qvf35ANNC3M&feature=youtu.be If you use the right...

What is your watt usage at 15 mph?

Oh heck yeah, I love just letting it rip up the steepest hills when nobody is around, WOOF WOOF! I'm running the stock LCD programmable controller because I like being able to switch between power limit modes depending on what im doing, though you could get away with using the non...

What is your watt usage at 15 mph?

Aye, your right. Just wanted a rough ball park idea of what a MTB would use watt wise at 15mph with a motor optimised for the speed. My bike probably uses a bit more because the all up weight of the bike and rider is 160kg plus my front tyre pressure is set quite low because I'm...

What is your watt usage at 15 mph?

Mine is less than I expected, around 250ish watts at 15mph on an upright Mtb with 26inch MTB tyres. Less than I expected because I'm using a Cyclone 3kw mid drive, which I picked up to delete ANY hill, I thought at the expense of piss poor efficiency at low speeds and power output compared...

    new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

Absolutely the Cyclone needs a few tweaks to unlock its full potential. If you have suggestions keep poking Paco over at Cyclone with emails https://www.cyclone-tw.com/contactus The jockey wheel assembly could also use a little improvement, round off the square edges and black annodise them...

quick battery drain in 1500W engine motor

Yeah that motor is a little overkill, though saying that, the leaf motor 1500w turned out to be quite efficient even at low speed Generally a very efficient motor overall You could get a £10 watt meter and put it between your battery and controller and get some real data on the power draw...

quick battery drain in 1500W engine motor

Another thing to note, is a smaller motor running within its optimal power band and RPM is more efficient than a large motor running way below its rated power and RPM at low speeds. Case in point, I have a 3KW Cyclone mid drive, mainly for dealing with Hilly wales. Quite efficient in...

Please help find the elusive ebike charger

Maybe this HLG-120H-48A 120W 48V ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272575055507?hash=item3f76bd4693:g:j~8AAOSwKytZLDnI Or is there better, or just as good for cheaper? Does anyone know some of the best value but similar power supplies?

Please help find the elusive ebike charger

I'll only ever charge at 54.6v 2A max So I could get away with a cheaper 110w power supply. Going on the hunt for one now, but any suggestions from a more Experienced fellow would be appreciated, even if only to compare to what I find incase someone knows a good gem of a bargain.

Please help find the elusive ebike charger

Oh well since they're all hit and miss, might as well save a few quid... Picked up 4 of these as they are at the cheap end of the 80% charge capable units. And are simpler with a set 2A charge rate so hopefully less to go wrong...

Please help find the elusive ebike charger

This is for the $99 Lunagiser? Dang. Oh well I'm charging outside in a battery bunker anyway, so doesn't matter too much. What would you suggest? What 48v chargers capable of 80% charging do people on this forum have good success with?

Please help find the elusive ebike charger

I'm having some difficulties finding a well made affordable charger that I can buy four of, to gently charge four 48v ebike batteries to 80% simultaneously Originally I was going to get a Grin cycle satiator as I was just going to build one large battery and put it on the rear rack so I just...
