I ran the auto learn with my nd72850 on a qs138v3 and it’s worked great after some tweaks.

    Nanjing far driver controllers

I’m having issues with my nd72530 controller when I brake and skid the back wheel. When the back wheel spins back up after braking I get an error. Anyone have a similar issue?

    Nanjing far driver controllers

I second this question. I have not yet gotten the windows software to work even with the actual fardriver cable they sell.

I’m not 100% sure but I think the OverVoltage parameter is only there for the rare case that it errors out for an over voltage scenario. I don’t think it will achieve that voltage amount on regen. My nd72530 OverVoltage parameter is set to something like 90 volts for a battery that charges to 84...

"Copper/nickel sandwich" buses for series connections

I think I was around the 1700-1800 amp range but I haven't used it in awhile and cant remember. Next battery build I will probably parallel another car battery to what I have now.

"Copper/nickel sandwich" buses for series connections

Makes sense. I am thinking about making some heavier gauge leads for the electrodes. I am assuming that would help. Thanks for the reply.

"Copper/nickel sandwich" buses for series connections

I had to use a little over 100 Joules when welding 0.15MM copper with 0.10MM x 8MM nickel plate steel caps. Using Kweld with 850CCA car battery. I had to with the positive side of the battery twice to get a good weld that would actually rip the copper when pulling off. Does that all sound normal?

I had the pid parameters almost maxed out but backed them off after going to a different gear ratio. Just wanted to see what the controller can take.

Your guess is as good as mine haha. From the manual: 3.4 PID parameters: Start KI, Mid KI, Max KI/Start KP, Mid KP, Max KP. The default parameters Start KI=4, Mid KI=8, Max KI=12/Start KP=40, Mid KP=80, Max KP=120. www.far-driver.comThe greater the motor power and the higher the voltage, the...

    Nanjing far driver controllers

The dc amps and phase amps were at the highest setting and the controller was still sluggish. So I changed the “ratios in speed” to 100% up to about 6000rpm then about 80% to 7500rpm. Also changed the pid parameters to a more aggressive value based on the manual. After that the controller...

    Nanjing far driver controllers

That did it. Thank you very much. This controller isn’t as impressive power wise as I thought it would be. Upgrading from a Kelly kls7245nr. **edit Made a few adjustments and found what I needed to change for more power and the controller is doing great.

I am having trouble setting up off throttle regen braking. Any ideas? ND72530 with qs138 v3 and domino throttle.

I am pretty sure the qs138 v3 has 5 pole pairs you have 4 pairs entered. And also maybe change your rated speed to 4000RPM.
