    Nanjing far driver controllers

Does anyone know if it is possible to program the Fardriver to have constant power input as the battery drains? It would have to raise the current somehow, I just dont know if there is a way to do this automatically.

    Electric Tony Kart

The original battery i was planning in using unfortunately had way too much voltage sag. I guess the EIG cells for just not up for the task...although they were new. I am waiting on my new battery. 24S13P made with Molicel P42a cells, as soon as it arrives I will update with pictures! I am...

    Electric Exprit (OTK) Kart

Awesome! very similar to my build. I also finished and was able to test it. my battery is a little under powered for the current I am needing so i am getting a new pack. 24s13p with molicel p42a cells. I hope they perform well. How much current are you using? how did you secure the pack? Are you...

    Electric Tony Kart

Here are some new pictures of the current progress. You can see how bulky the battery casing is, I cut everything so it would be a tight fit on the inside, but I just felt as if it didn't look right or wasn't in place. I made the battery mount out of a 5mm carbon fiber sheet, it was fairly...

    Electric Tony Kart

Thanks guys, things have been coming along. I fabricated a mount for the controller and Battery out of Carbon fiber to keep the weight down. I also ditched the original plan of wiring the discharge wires through the front and on top of the floor tray. I will be routing them behing the seat...

    Electric Tony Kart

You are absolutely right Nuxland, and originally I did want to have a motor mount custom made of CNC aluminum, I put that on hold because of the crazy amount the person wanted that could have built it. I got my mount from MightE in the UK, he makes them in bulk for the 90h motor. It was an easy...

    Electric Tony Kart

I also started to do the wiring for the controller and actually got my first "beep" from the controller. I am not sure if I will route the battery wires through the front, or maybe behind the seat. I wanted to keep them as far away from the phase wires as possible. I still need to fabricate a...

    Electric Tony Kart

I also fabricated a small instrument panel for the steering wheel. It is 1,5mm carbon fiber and was pretty easy to cut and sand. I think I might build another one that looks a little "cleaner". On the right side is a momentary button for the regenerative braking, a on/off switch for the...

    Electric Tony Kart

So I had some spare time and finally got some work done. I got my battery built and wired up the BMS, I had some issues with the app at first but was able to sort things out. Now I just need to start on the battery mount and some sort of stainless case. Does anyone know of someone who can build...

    Electric Tony Kart

I agree, the battery capacity is definitely a compromise. The cells I will be using are slightly heavier (eig cells) but 26kg for 3,2kwh is ok. I am hoping to get around 15min of tracktime (fairly tight track, longest straight is only around 250m)

    QS 3000w midmotor

Yeah I thought I saw a few Honda engines in the background! same here, already got infected by the electric bug and needed a winter project. I am currently waiting for my cells to arrive so I can get the BMS installed and turn the motor for the first time.

    QS 3000w midmotor

I totally agree, I have seen a rolling dyno with a QS 138 90h in a Kart getting 32bhp, running on 60V and 450A. I do think he modified the motor though, I am guessing changed the hall sensors to encoders.

    QS 3000w midmotor

It is in fact homemade, just not by me  I got the Motor cradle from Jonny at MightE in the UK, he specializes in using QS Motors in senior and bambini karts. Nice kart by the way, is it a Exprit?

    Electric Tony Kart

Yeah you're right, the QS motors are very underrated. The 138 90h motor should pull peaks up to 30kw without overheating, I have seen some pull even close to 40kw, I do not intend to push the motor that far though. My target would be to keep up with the 125 TAG karts. On our tight track I think...

    Electric Tony Kart

Finally found some time to paint the Motor mount and fit the Motor in. I also installed the throttle and cables 👍🏻 I am currently working on the controller mount and a cover for it. Has anyone experience in cutting carbon fiber? I would like to make a top cover for the controller, probably 2mm...

    N.E.S.E. the no solder module

Has anyone ever made a "bigger" Pack using these modules? I am planning a 20s16p pack and would like to use the nese system, I am not sure if they will be able to handle the current I will be needing though (200a continuous, 400a max)

    Track chair power upgrade!

Taking a look at the specs on the website it seems the chair is running on two 12V batteries and a 24V DC Motor. The batteries are rated to 100 amps. The Motors have a gearing ratio of 24:1 so that is very very short, it is needed in order for the motors to not overheat due to the low speed...

Contactor, E Stop button, On/Off toggle switch

I have started a build thread here: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=114391&p=1691515#p1691515

    Electric Tony Kart

well I guess you are right BUT the FIA CIK rules say what bodywork you need and can have, I might be trying a different front section that should be slightly more aerodynamic. I guess the weight you would save removing the bodywork, would be obsolete because of the terrible CV rating a kart...

    Electric Tony Kart

thanks, i am trying to keep everything clean and well organized. I will try to cover everything up nicely to give it a more 'tidy' look. I have read that thread, not just one time :o Nuxland has a completely different approach to his build than I am going for. I will be trying to keep the...

    Electric Tony Kart

Got the new rear axle and sprocket installed, I will be starting with a 15-30 gearing which will give me around 100kph without FW, already thinking this could be too long. I also installed an adjustable steering wheel mount, definitely a must for someone with short arms like me :o

    Electric Tony Kart

So I decided to start a little build thread for my Winter project but first a little info about myself. I grew up in Denver Colorado and moved to Europe in 2004. I currently live in the land of the Oktoberfest  I have been racing Motorsports basically all my life but have little to...

Contactor, E Stop button, On/Off toggle switch

Im not sure either if the anti theft runs on battery voltage or anything between. As soon as I get a battery built I will be able to check the voltages on every wire, I just wanted to get everything organized and maybe bought and wired up until then. It won't be easy finding an on/off switch...

Contactor, E Stop button, On/Off toggle switch

Wow thanks for the replys. I wanted the 96V version so I could( if power is not enough) add more cells to make a 96v pack, I am trying to keep the weight down as much as possible but wanted a little more reserve amps as with a 72v system. I wont be letting the battery plugged in all the time, I...

Contactor, E Stop button, On/Off toggle switch

Can nobody else help or advise what to do? If almost everyone uses the contractors then I am guessing that almost everyone know what exactly they are for and if they are really necessary with a good controller and BMS.
