    yes this is a photon motor. just checked the app and it still shows only 3 sliders as well. I'm thinking maybe the assistance levels are just a percentage of your 3 sliders you have set, and that the 3 sliders actually correspond to the highest assistance level power output as a range.     I've changed this to 5 on mine. All it does is divide up the 9 total assist levels into 3 or 5. You'll notice on the ride control app if its set to 9, that when you change power levels only one red bar of the 9 will fill per click. if you set it to 5, two red bars will fill.
