    Thoughts on current UPP batteries

Is there any benefit in replacing the UUP BMS with one that will balance and provide some form of remote monitoring?

I did find that and tried a few changes but no real difference. My guess at this point is I am up against the current limit on my BMS, UUP 72v, 25Ah, 60amp max.

I used this calculator and everything came out OK. Had to drill out my rim to fit the larger spokes is all. I used the published dimensions on the QS motor site. spoke calculator Video cant wait to see how this goes, good luck.

Trying to decide on a rear shock for my stealth clone. DNM and Fastace are the main candidates due to price. Wondering about the spring rate, most are 550 lbs but I can get a DNM with 750 lbs. I'm about 200 lbs and the bike is about 130 lbs with Q205 clone hub motor.

Just got my new build working and not impressed with low end torque. Also have some jitter off dead stop. I tried a few of the PID parameters shown in the manual but no real difference noted. Maybe I am at the limit of the battery? QS205 5T (nbpower clone) ND72450 72V, 20 Ah UUP battery (60 amp...

    Far Driver Bluetooth

Tested out my wiring this weekend on the bench. All looks good up to auto learn. I am concerned about the spark on mating the 72V battery, XT60, connectors. Does seem like there could be some damage over time. Looking at some DC switches. DC Switch Or maybe a rotary switch with a pre-charge...

I think I get it but what is an "axle peg"? Like these I guess: https://www.trailheadcycling.com/product/black-ops-brinck-axle-pegs-376818-1.htm Edit: Wheely pegs worked great thanks for the tip.

Agreed, seems like not even any hydraulic damping. I'm pretty slow on single-track, maybe 10-15 mph max. Based on GRIN calculator I won't see anything over 38mph even on the street since this is a 5T motor. Once up and running I'll spring for something more appropriate. MC forks look interesting...

Forks came in, ZOOM for 29 inch rims. Seem to work but maybe no real damping, just springs. Works for now. Will have to go with a 29x3 tire on the front since the forks only have about 3.5 inches of clearance. Trying to get the head angle to about 67 degrees, similar to DH bikes I have seen. I'm...

I'm working on setting up a stealth clone and now shopping for front forks. Initial build will be low cost units from china. Wonder what the community here thinks about... - Air suspension or springs? - Upside down or not - 26x4.0 rear tire; 29x4.0 front tire Riding will be off road below 35...

Here is a comparison of a 4T(13 rpm/volt) and a 3T(16 rpm/volt). 4T acceleration is about 1mph/sec greater at 10mph. It seems very important to the the correct winding but I don't see it stated in most on-line sellers. Some have the no-load rpm which helps. GRIN Simulator plots at ebikes.ca

    E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Rix Thanks for the info, sounds pretty adjustable as far as handling goes. Playing with the Grin simulator looking like about 37mph projected. This assumes: - 4T is 13rpm/volt - 72Volts and 60 amp max battery current; 120 amp per phase - 18 inch wheel

Hi, I am planning a Stealth Clone budget build and have a few question. Mission: - Off road, single and double track not too technical but some minor rock steps and baby head size rocks - Top speed 40-45 mph - Motor QS205 - 72V battery - Motorcycle rims and tires off of a 125cc or 150cc...
