Add rear hub motor to front wheel?

OK. I think I see. There are just a lot of price ranges of them I guess. Looks like maybe $250 can do it..

Add rear hub motor to front wheel?

How would I go about adding it to my already build scooter? It is a matter of the controller's features?

Add rear hub motor to front wheel?

Any idea how much it would generate though?

Add rear hub motor to front wheel?

John - what about the difficulty of making a little fork that merely ties to the wheel? Making it like a one-wheel trailer simply to drag behind. Can you think of an easy source for such a part?

    Loose wires?

I have narrowed it down to a wire with copper showing - I need to go find an automotive wire repair thing to replace a length of it.

Add rear hub motor to front wheel?

I have a 60V 1000W Citycoco scooter and I am thinking of attaching a rear tire with motor to the front fork. Not necessarily to run though. I want to attempt to generate power only first. The issue is that the motor appears to be physically built to bolt down to the squared off metal of the...

    Use motor hub for charging?

I am working based on this youtuber's mothed - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD1gSx92DuM Seeing this method of generating a DC current has gotten me interested and I have the bridge rectifiers in front of me to test with a 1000W uumotor 10" 60V scooter motor, but I feel like I am in the dark...

    Use motor hub for charging?

OK. I will have to wait until I can afford to buy a good regen capable controller. For now, I have the 1 1/2 rectifiers to form the 3-phase rectifier and try it with my spare 1000W 60V motor right here. I am just in the dark as to why there are 3 connections to the motor? I am to connect POS +...

    Use motor hub for charging?

To clarify, I am talking about adding a dedicated motor just like the rear wheel one. Either replacing the front wheel or attaching it to a sort of trailer/cart. I see how to form the 3 phase rectifier bridge from AC to DC now. Does that hook up to the motor with 3 wires? I have the extra motor...

    Citycoco/Scrooser throttle

i fixed this - it turned out to be that the new motor which i had used to replace the punctured wheel had a faulty wire. now it's running again! THX for the help! :)

    Loose wires?

Hello, I just got my electric scooter running again from a rough trip. 1000W "Citycoco" style scooter. It required me to replace a wire. Now today, it has a sort of stuttering and power loss where it can't carry me uphill. I tightened the wire and the stuttering improved a little and the battery...

    Citycoco/Scrooser throttle

I did replace my throttle with a 1-99v throttle. I think that I will change back to the factory default one and see. Any guesses if that can cause this problem?

    Citycoco/Scrooser throttle

I got it running again! The green wire in the red/blk/grn connection to the key/bat/headlight was completely loose. Now though, it has a power loss kind of situation. In low gear it creeps along OK, then slowly reaching high gear it starts to rattle and buzz shaking the whole frame. What...

    Use motor hub for charging?

I am trying to picture it like having a dynamo generator that lights a bicycle headlight. Not trying to add power all of the time, but I have a lot of downhill parts of trips where I can drift for 1 - 3 miles! If one or both of the motors could charge the battery then and mostly then is my idea...

    Use motor hub for charging?

Oh yes? So, I could use a secondary motor, secondary controller and battery without any hand electrical modification? Wow! I will try to find a source for exact regen controller. I am not as confident changing the stock controller to a regen one, but I would then have 2 motors in regen mode...

    Use motor hub for charging?

Hey, Does someone want to explain how difficult it is to use a hub motor to generate power while rolling? I have a 60v / 1000w scooter with an extra hub motor. Attaching the rear motor wheel to the front fork would be unusual and I would get help, but what would I have to do beyond that to start...

    Citycoco/Scrooser throttle

The brake switches are very suspect to me, but I don't know all of their failsafe abilities or how to adjust the brake cables accurately by sight. I have someone coming to take a look in a few minutes here I hope. I'll report back if this gets solved. Thanks for the aid so far all! :)

    Citycoco/Scrooser throttle

There's a little blue light blinking inside the scooter's batt meter/headlight/keyswitch..!? Is that just it's Bluetooth powered on? Also, the first LED on the batt meter is slightly off - like it only glows in the side of the "1" area...?

    Citycoco/Scrooser throttle

I STILL NEED HELP. :x I had the tire repaired at a shop, but the motor function did not return. Someone want to private message or take a phone call maybe?

    Citycoco/Scrooser throttle

yes. it is totally normal then. i have this new suspicion - i didn't get the tire REALLY tight with inflation. i was kind of in a hurry in the middle of the night. i will go to another gas station with air. the station i used had a pressure gauge, but it never popped out. i will report back if...

    Citycoco/Scrooser throttle

yes. you see how i inflated the tire and immediately the motor came back to life. now, each time i start moving it stops? that is where i am puzzled and it is hot here each day trying to deal with it. :x

    Citycoco/Scrooser throttle

the old controller is just sitting here. i have two theories now - 1. one of the hall cables or sensor has trouble or 2. the key switch is not turning on anything past the headlight and battery meter properly. either when it bumps a tiny bit the hall sensor goes off wrong or perhaps the voltage...

    new motor? (1000w 60v)

I think that I need to replace the motor on my 'citycoco' style 1000w scooter. It seems to have a bad 'hall' sensor - i will test farther. In the meantime, does someone here know where I can order the replacement motor/wheel? I am thinking of getting knobby tires since I live in a more rural...
