1000w motor on yiyun 750w ctrlr will it work.?

Hi all i'v just set fire to my motor
I dont know why its bernt out like this i havent had time to look yet.(10 mins ago)
I have a my1020 1000w 36v motor here and i was wondaring will my yiyun 36v 750w controler work ok.
I know if i run my lipo4 36v 20ah on a yiyun 1000w 36v the battory cuts out.Big amp's i dont have.
I have a 750w yiyun ctrl to will the controler stop the 1000w askin to big a amps from the bat?
Any sugestions will be grait thanks.

Just to recap.
I blow my my1020 36v 750w motor.runing of a yiyun 800w controler.
I can go and pay £20 for a 36v 1000w my1020 motor of a freind.He has a 1000w yiyun to.
I can aford the motor but not the controler.
Will my yiyun 800w controler work ok with the 1000w motor.
We ran his motor and controler on my mrping 20ah 36v lipo4.but On full throttle pull off the batt tript off.
We didnt test it on my 800w and ping.
Basicly will his 1000w motor Rape my controler or batt in this configaration. 1000w36v mtr.. 800w36v ctrlr...ping 36v 20ah lipo4.

Thanks for any advice.
Xmas is coming up ill w8 for a responce before i pay money for the motor.

Yes, it should work fine.

As long as they are both sensored motors, or both sensorless motors, it should work fine.
