Hi guys,

So after months of ordering and tinkering around with things to do with my build I am finally at the tweaking stage.

I will upload pictures soon but just have a few questions about fine-tuning the Cycle Analyst settings....

This is my setup:
20" Dahon Jetstream P8 foldup bike
Cycle Analyst V3-DP
12 x 4110 MOSFET Extreme Modder Controller LYEN Edition
Crystalyte HS3540 with custom axle by Tench and built into Moped Wheel (rear)
Torque arms have been purchased, modified and installed etc...
20s2p Lipo Battery - 82V
Standard Thumb Throttle from Lyen
eZee e-brakes

The setup I have is fundamentally working but not the way it should be. Without the Cycle Analyst plugged in, the motor 'takes off' when the throttle is engaged. When I plug in the Cycle Analyst there is no 'bite' at all and I estimate the wheel spins at about 1/2 speed. Any ideas on that?
I've attached screen shots of my current settings. It would be great if you could cast your eyes over my settings to see what I'm missing. This is my first build - I bought this same bike as a completed build over a year ago but it was stolen. I got the bike back without the electrics and am only now about to complete the rebuild....

Other not so pressing issues at the moment are:
1) The HS3540 is a sensored motor but I'm not getting 'speed feedback' to the cycle analyst... except with I use the magnet and attachment for the CAV3-DP... But I presumed I would get speed feedback directly from the Hall sensors to the CAV3 (via the controller) once I set the #numpoles to 23 in the Cycle Analyst setup utility....

2) I need to start the installation of the 3-speed switch. I didn't realise I would have to open the controller and solder on cables to X1 and X2 etc...

3) Regen is non-existent at the moment. The e-brake cuts out the motor when engaged but there's no regen whatsoever.

Looking forward to any comments/help you guys have.

Thanks a mill,

Liam

Thanks for the reply! Lots to read up on and ponder over now.

Just realised now though that I have the throttle plugged into the controller and not the cycle analyst - That's a fundamental problem I'm sure...

OK - so I put my hands up - that was a MAJOR rookie error. It just took me so long to be able to program the Cycle Analyst that once it was actually working I totally forgot to move the throttle etc from the controller...

I just hooked the Thumb throttle up to the Cycle Analyst and the small throttle graphic on the screen is responding to the throttle input, but there is no response from the motor.... Any ideas?
