3 wire Hub

I have bought an Ebike that has only 3 wires going yo the drive wheel.

Will this mean it’s a brushed hub?

If I have to buy a controller kit I need to get it correct.

It is probably a brushless unsensored motor. Brushed motors should only have 2 wires.

Do you have some photos of the motor and connector showing the pins?

Is there a manufacturer code written on the motor?
