I googled ES to try and find an existing thread on the 3rd Element company, or the eSpire model. These bikes only seemed to mentioned in passing inside other threads. I found a pic from 2010 Eurobike (posted by AJ), but they were originally using the "Clean Mobile" mid-drive unit. I believe Clean Mobile suffered some business setbacks, and that must have slowed the eSpires marketing. The Clean Mobile drive was also used by the now-defunct very expensive Black Trail BT-01, and also the Audi concept bike (I'm starting to notice a trend).

Here's the pic from 2010, the new version looks the same, just the guts have changed since they switched to the MPF-5.0 mid-drive. The first time I saw it, I immediately liked the location of the unusual battery pack below the down-tube (50V / 16.8-Ah).

Here's their "Pure" hardtail model. I like the frame triangle, more companies should embrace that shape.
