I purchased 4 X 12 Volt 7 Ah SLA batteries from my local surplus discount electronics place ($10 each :) )and I wired them in a series for a 50 volt pack. I was wondering what the final charged voltage of the pack should be so I can verify it has a full charge?

Thanks,
Paul

I believe the max voltage of a 12v SLA is 14.4 volts which would be 57.6.
But it can vary between 13.8-14.4 according to a quick google search.

Hot off the charger, mine was 53.8V. If all cells were perfect, it would be 54V. 24x2.25V.

Wes,

You're right.
The pretty awesome resource,

Confirms that 2.25 (not my original number) is the right "per cell" amount. So that's 2.25*6 = 13.5; * 4= 54v {or 53.8 as you got}

Where can you get these 12v sla for $10 ?? Do you have more details?
