Hello, hoping you all may have some leads I can use for a decent charger.
I am building two different bikes. One is a 60V and one is a 72V.
I purchased this charger: https://a.co/d/hMhx7Wi off Amazon. I have an Amorge 72V 25AH battery. 10A max charge ability using Lishen 2170LA cells.
Plugged it in, worked well for about 3 minutes then I heard a massive “bang” and thought ohhhh no. Bike and battery are OK but the charger blew and tripped my circuit breaker in my shop! Checked the fuse in the charger and it was still good so something internally only lasted about 5 minutes. I had a second on order too but immediately canceled that order.
Tried it at another wall outlet to check and same thing nearly immediately- not plugged into battery.
So, I will be returning that of course. Any idea what could’ve caused this? It has decent reviews too! My batteries use XT60 ends but I can swap those out. Looking for a decent 8A charger.
