6S Hub Motor Electric Longboard w/ Wireless Meter!

So I'm going to be traveling to Mexico on Friday and I want to bring with my board. Right now I have it in a duffle bag with it still fully assembled except for the Lipo you have to carry that on. I'm just worried that it is going to get damaged in the cargo hold. I've seen on Reddit and some other sites that people just carry it on but there's aren't electric and don't have big black box on the bottom 8) so I don't know if they will let me carry it on. Any ideas on what I should do?

Hi! Great build! This build has almost exactly what i was going to have in mine (except it would have belt driven). My question was how did you program the esc? and could you please send me a link for the card/usb. Would one of these be compatible: http://goo.gl/z8QnFC or http://goo.gl/DGpcFW. Also, how did you connect the GX16-9 connector to the battery etc...?

Thanks. :D

I ordered that USB adapter to program the ESC but I haven't been able to get it working myself. So far it works fine without me programming it though I would love to get it working so I could change some settings. Now with the GX16-9 connectors I just got those and ive been working on wiring them up. Ive done it twice and both times somehow ive managed to wire them up incorrectly, so I do warn you be extremely careful to not short anything and make sure to take lots of before pictures and make sure you organize all the wires correctly. Ill attach some pictures of how I wired them up BUT THEY ARE WIRED WRONG so do not follow these pictures. Also what kind of switch are you going to use to turn the board on and off? I was using one of those black box fuse things off Ebay for like $9 though it was such a piece of crap so I made a MOSFET switch which works 100x better. If you wanna see how I built it head over to this thread on All About Circuits. http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/threads/high-amperage-mosfet-switch.122277/#post-981867

Hello, looks really really good.

I have two questions? Forgive me if I sound like a dim-wit here but why do you have to be sure to push 80 amps to be safe if using 6s?

Unless your ESC has current limiting feature, be sure to have a battery pack that can push out 80 amps to be safe, especially if you're going to use only 6s.
My second question concerns the esc.
I'm thinking about buying the HK X-Car Beast Series ESC 1:8 Scale 120A and use with 2 x 3s 5000mah (25 -35c) batteries wired in paraelle (may change that to series at a later date)? ...and use it with a SK3 - 6364-245kv Brushless Outrunner Motor

My second question is the esc specs say: Suitable Motor Type : 4 Pole sensorless and sensored brushless motor - Can I use a (6364-245kv) Brushless Outrunner Motor?
I noticed that your motor is an outrunner so would I be right in saying yes Brushless Outrunner Motors work with the ESC even though (I'm guessing here) they are not 4 Pole.

Thanks for any advice given.
