Thank you for accepting me onto this forum. I have an Aixam Mega E truck using a Sevcon Gen 4 48v the previous owner removed the faulty charger. As a result they added a new 48v charger from eBay (not original Aixam) and due to the owner dying the project was at a standstill and the truck sat on the driver for over 12 months until the owners wife sold the vehicle to me so I could continue where he had left off. This Truck is only going to be used off road and I’m trying to get the truck to work. The dash shows an exclamation and the charging icon that I believe will send signals to the Sevcon unit to disable it so as not to allow you to pull away whilst it’s on charge. As it’s not the original charger it doesn’t send signals to the controller and the ECU. Does someone know if there is a wire that can be cut/grounded etc or if I purchased a can open controller it would slow me to remove this restriction?
