Title says it all really.

Have been at it since 1800...it is now 2130

have tried the supplied drivers and software..upgraded from teh net ..uninstalled the lot. and installed just the new ones...uninstalled and just installed the old ones from teh disk...multiple shut downs and restarts...the Chinese and German to English manual s and instruction are as good as yo can ever expect. Any one know what USB UART driver is required and where to get it?

Finally got it to work on another machine first time.

So uninstalled everything USB related on the problem machine..removed USB rot hub from the Device Manager, and started again. System /registry clean up. Two reboots, re checked for any USB remenants, then installed again not problem. Seemed to be a ProlificUSBSerial driver clash somewhere...

My laptop running win 7 ultimate. Sees the charger in hardware devices but does not see it in the charger updater program. There is no yellow exclamation mark in the hardware devices ....... So no idea why it can not see it.

Only used Win 7 twice and hated it...not even had a machine with it predecessor...Vista.
Bloody UAC and overly complicated network...and the new Windows Explorer /My computer...makes navigating the folder structure a nightmare. Admittedly they were both Home or Home Premium versions, maybe Ultimate is better.

It could be a Port issue.
The app only is able to use Com ports 1 thru 5, so you may need togo back to device manager, and highlight the device, and check some of the advanced tabs till you find the section that allows you to assign the Com Port. Chances are it will have auto assigned to something like 74
Change to a free port between 1-5
Full re boot.
Check port number has stuck in device manager

Now...this is the bit that got me...the app is VERY SLOW to populate the drop down box with the port numbers. Click the down pointing drop down triangle ONCE to display the available devices...and WAIT...and WAIT...and WAIT

That did it for me...and only by accident...because the phone went as I was struggling with it...so I stopped on the phone ...and as i was watching the screen...the menu dropped down....That could be my slow 2004 Win XP machine though.

Good luck

And if you ever work out how to scroll around the graph screen with a wheel mouse...let me know...it is a nightmare. There is a Mouse click Help window to help with the scrolling options...but you can't leave it on screen while trying to scrol...I think STRG means CTRK in German
